Netflix recently launched Netflix House Philadelphia, a unique and immersive experience, and I got a sneak peek! When it was first announced, many people wondered: is it like a theme park, and what kind of activities does it offer?
I was initially surprised to learn that Philadelphia (or nearby King of Prussia) would be the first city to try out this new concept. But after attending the “Netflix House Warming Party,” all my questions were answered, and I discovered even more exciting details I hadn’t known about before.
Here’s a rundown of everything I discovered about Netflix’s new Philadelphia location, right before it opened on November 12th.
Netflix House Isn’t A Theme Park, But It’s So Much More Than You Think

I had high expectations for the Netflix Housewarming Party, picturing it as similar to Disney World, but designed by Netflix. Knowing it was inside the King of Prussia Mall, I understood there would be some constraints, but I still hoped for things like rides, interactive experiences, and appearances by characters from their shows – a bit like the attractions you’d find at Disney parks.
That initial report wasn’t far off. While Netflix House doesn’t have typical amusement park rides like roller coasters, it does offer immersive experiences and smaller-scale attractions similar to what you’d find at a theme park. Many of these are within the Wednesday-themed area, called Eve of the Outcasts.
Eve of the Outcasts offers a carnival experience inspired by the popular Netflix series, Wednesday. Given the recent release of Wednesday season 2, and the show’s ongoing popularity, it—along with ONE PIECE—is a major highlight at Netflix House Philadelphia.

Guests at Eve of the Outcasts will be able to explore Wednesday and Enid’s dorm room at Nevermore Academy, and also enjoy a large festival with carnival games and rides. A highlight of the festival is the “misery-go-round,” Wednesday Addams’ unique spin on a classic merry-go-round.
Inside, you’ll find tons of classic carnival games, all with a Wednesday theme. I was really impressed by how much Netflix House managed to fit inside the mall space, but what really surprised me was how much care they put into the details.

It really feels like you’ve entered the world of Wednesday, and surprisingly, that’s just one of the many immersive experiences offered at Netflix House.

Beyond the immersive experiences dedicated to specific shows, Netflix House Philadelphia offers a variety of other fun activities inspired by popular Netflix movies and series. For example, guests can play a nine-hole mini-golf course where each hole is themed around a different Netflix title.
I especially love the designs inspired by Bridgerton and Stranger Things, but every single design is carefully made to fit the look and feel of a different Netflix show—everything from Love is Blind to Is It Cake? I even learned a few tricks to get a higher score on the last level, but I’m not sharing those secrets!
But the most surprising part of Netflix House Philadelphia was definitely the virtual reality room. There, you can actually step into the worlds of shows like Stranger Things and Squid Game – and it’s just as intense and exciting as you’d imagine!

The Netflix House gift shop impressed everyone at the Housewarming Party. It offered a wide range of merchandise, including shirts and posters from shows like KPop Demon Hunters and Stranger Things clothing and Funko Pops – a true paradise for Netflix fans.

I had such a great time at Netflix House! Of course, all the interactive experiences are amazing, but there’s so much more to enjoy. I especially loved heading upstairs to “Netflix Bites,” their restaurant and bar. They have all sorts of food and drinks inspired by shows on Netflix – it’s so clever! As a huge Stranger Things fan, I immediately got a Scoops Ahoy milkshake and tried the Hellfire Club sandwich – both were delicious!
Popular Netflix shows like KPop Demon Hunters and Sweet Magnolias are featured on the menu, with items such as HUNTR/X Power Up Ssam and Sweet Magnolias Chicken & Waffles. The drink menu also takes inspiration from Netflix series and films, offering cocktails like Taste of the Ton, inspired by Bridgerton, and Love at First Sip, based on Love Is Blind.
But the best part of all is simply being around others who share your passion for the same shows and movies. While conventions and places like Disney World offer similar experiences, there hasn’t been anything quite like it specifically for fans of Netflix content.
With all the buzz around upcoming Netflix shows like the start of Stranger Things season 5 this month and the confirmed second season of Kpop Demon Hunters, now is a great time to check out this new experience – and you can definitely feel the energy when you do!
If you can’t make it to Philadelphia, there’s no need to worry! Netflix is expanding its immersive experience with new locations like Netflix House Dallas next month and Netflix House Las Vegas, coming in 2027. But right now, the brand-new Netflix House in Philadelphia is open and lives up to all the excitement.
