Fans who believed Scott McCristal and Gia Fleur’s journey on Married At First Sight was over are in for a surprise – they’re not done yet!

Monday night’s episode of The Final Dinner Party promises to be the most explosive yet, as Scott and Gia have a heated argument that shocks everyone at the table.

People involved with the production say the two actors had a very strained relationship even before filming started, and were both prepared to confront each other about it.

‘This wasn’t a normal dinner party,’ one insider revealed.

Oh my gosh, you guys, it was insane! I was there, and I swear, everyone just froze. These two just started completely unloading on each other, right in front of the whole cast! Everyone was just completely shocked, mouths open… it was a total disaster, but I couldn’t look away!

‘People were looking at each other like, ‘Is this really happening?’ the source added.

The main issue is a total loss of trust between Scott and Gia, as they each have different ideas about what caused the problem.

I’ve noticed Scott seemed a little unsure about some of the things Gia said and how she described what happened before the party. It really seemed to bother him, but he kept it to himself. Meanwhile, Gia felt completely excluded and like he wouldn’t even listen to her side of the story, which was so frustrating to watch. She just wanted a chance to talk things through honestly.

‘You talk to everyone else but not me,’ she said.

‘That’s not fair.’

Scott was heartbroken when Gia left the Married At First Sight experiment on Tuesday’s episode.

A video surfaced of the businessman and his wife, known for her strong temper, having a heated argument in public. The disagreement stemmed from Gia’s choice to leave before the final commitment ceremony, just two days early.

To add to Scott’s difficulties, he had to complete the last challenge by himself: watching the footage from Monday’s ‘grass is greener’ competition.

Scott reacted with angry and offensive language when he saw a video of his future wife, Gia, flirting with another man, James, who she had been considering as a potential match.

He strongly disapproved of Gia asking James about his salary, describing it as awful, messed up, and disgusting.

Scott was clearly upset, saying, “She told me she’d go on a date with him once they were away from here.”

The dramatic moment led to Scott suffering an emotional meltdown.

Honestly, hearing Scott say that really broke my heart. He told me she left because she was embarrassed and didn’t want me to find out how she’d performed on the final exam. It was clearly something she was really ashamed of, and she just couldn’t face me knowing.

The 35-year-old woman, a mother of one, was previously seen urging Scott to go back to Melbourne with her, explaining that she needed to be with her family and saying, ‘We really need to leave right now.’

When Gia’s fiancé decided to continue with the show instead of leaving, she accused Scott of wanting to stay solely for the attention from the cameras, which resulted in a very public argument between them.

“It’s always been about the show… you never really cared about me,” she said before getting into an Uber and driving away, leaving Scott standing alone on the street.

Even though Gia and Scott had announced their breakup, Gia called Scott again and attempted to convince him to quit the experiment.

Once he returned to their apartment, Scott found Gia’s wedding ring on a bench.

He finished his last duty, which prompted Scott to wonder aloud on camera why Gia seemed so eager to quit the show.

‘She literally just lied to my face,’ a tearful Scott said in his confessional. 

She desperately wanted to leave because she didn’t want me to find out she had cheated on the final exam.

Scott announced he was going to buy a new house for Gia and her family and cover the costs of their move.

‘I was about to give my whole life to her and her daughter,’ he said, breaking down. 

I’m finished with her. She’s incredibly manipulative and a hypocrite, and she really took advantage of me. I ended up paying for everything in this whole situation.

I was deeply hurt and taken advantage of for three months. She exploited my resources and time, and ultimately broke my heart.

Scott burst into tears and exclaimed, “She just took advantage of me – I’ll never allow myself to be hurt like this again.”
