In the years prior to his passing, Lachlan Rofe, known for his role on Married At First Sight, led a tranquil existence away from public attention.
originally cast on Channel Nine’s debut dating series back in 2015, later featured on Farmer Wants A Wife in 2016, tragically passed away at the age of 47, causing tremendous surprise among friends and relatives.
He was a cattle farmer who lived on a property in Cawdor, near Camden in New South Wales.
Rofe underwent a significant change in appearance compared to his television days, as he spent his later years residing on a farm and frequently posting updates on his social media platform.
In July, he posted a bizarre video to Facebook, which showed him feeding emus on his porch.
The television personality appeared almost unmatched when sporting long locks, snapping photos with a box of KFC in front of the camera, and feeding bits of chicken to some nearby birds.

A few days past, he posted on his page a recollection from 2019 that commemorated him receiving a clean bill of health for illegal substances.
To be fit, you need regular training and a balanced diet. I’ve been tested for drugs several times, and every test has come back clean, with no traces of steroids or illegal substances… I’m ready to perform!
In February, Rofe shared a picture of himself sporting a shiner and expressed that the cause of his injury remained mysterious.
‘I didn’t feel anything.. Just woke up with it,’ he wrote.
Relatives announced Rofe’s passing through social media platforms this week, as an outpouring of tributes poured in for the dedicated cattle farmer.
The authorities received an emergency call regarding a house on Razorback, and upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious man inside the residence.
‘Ambulance paramedics commenced CPR but they were unable to revive him.
The investigation is still ongoing to understand the details, and if you have any relevant information, please share it with either Camden Police or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.

Following the news of his death, tributes flooded social media.
What a pity. It’s unfortunate to hear about the young life lost, especially being from our hometown, Camden. Rest In Peace, Ryan Donnelly,” could be a possible paraphrase of the original statement while maintaining its sentiment and essence.
Another person expressed their condolences to the MacLeer family, mentioning that Lachlan had such a deep affection for that farm that it was like his very life.” Alternatively, you could say, “Another person has shared their sadness with the MacLeer family, as they knew how much Lachlan cherished that farm above all else.
A user expressed their deepest sympathies by saying, “May he rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.” Another user conveyed the same sentiment by stating, “Oh, what a terribly sad news! Rest in peace, young man.
Others remembered him as a local identity, with one message reading: ‘That is tragic, so young.’
During and following his time on reality TV, Rofe, also known as McAleer, frequently found himself at the center of media attention.
Back in 2017, it was determined that he had physically harmed his girlfriend, Casey Williams, during an incident involving excessive alcohol consumption, while their two-year-old daughter was present.
He was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond but later appealed the conviction.

As an ardent admirer, let me share that after much deliberation, a magistrate graciously reversed the initial judgment against Rofe. With unwavering integrity, he proclaimed, “As a man upholding principles, I felt compelled to exonerate myself.
Speaking at the time, he admitted the scandal had left him rattled.
He confided in Channel 7 that he’s so fearful he can’t bring himself to approach women, because with all that has transpired, he feels like an easily identifiable target.
Outside the courtroom, Rofe was associated with various prominent relationships, such as Belinda Reid from Farmer Wants A Wife and Natalie Cepenuik, a pig hunter who stirred controversy by posting a picture of herself with a deceased joey.
Lachie and Belinda appeared content as a pair following the conclusion of filming, yet within mere hours of the final episode’s broadcast, it was revealed that they had parted ways shortly afterwards.
Lachlan mentioned that being far apart was the cause of their separation and shared with TV Week, “We constantly tried to make it work through frequent attempts and countless phone conversations, but maintaining a relationship over long distances proves incredibly challenging.
In 2016, he gained notice due to an investigation into his family’s land over accusations of unlawful deforestation, but he vehemently refuted these claims.
He stated that everything had been properly addressed according to the laws, and some individuals envy him due to his acquired fame. (At a previous point in time)
