True love’s journey rarely is without bumps, a lesson learned by ex-couple Mark Wright and Lauren Goodger from their own experiences.

In the past, they were the beloved power couple of reality television, as their relationship became the central attraction during what many consider to be the most successful seasons of the popular series “The Only Way Is Essex.

Twelve years since they parted ways in their ten-year union, the duo find themselves significantly apart in terms of their personal and career paths. Notably, Mark has just announced that his wife, Michelle Keegan, is expecting her first child.

In the meantime, Lauren has successfully acclimated to her role as a parent following the birth of her daughter Larose with partner Charles Drury in 2021.

In the heat of our rollercoaster romance, I found myself often labeled as a repeat heartbreaker, entangled in brief liaisons with my fellow stars, Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh.

In my conversation with Paul Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast last September, I shared that I never imagined I would find love again after being with someone for a dozen years, on-and-off.

Our relationship was not an easy one. We parted ways for several months, reconciled, only to find that we were growing and changing alongside each other. Essentially, we both matured.

As his ardent admirer, I can confidently assert that he was not just a fleeting infatuation; rather, he embodied the essence of my heart’s deepest desires. Our bond transcended the ordinary and endured for an extended period because our feelings towards each other were not merely fleeting emotions, but a profound, reciprocal love.

Based on my personal experiences with him and the advice I’ve received from others, it seems clear that he was deeply invested in our relationship. Many people have pointed out that his feelings for me were intense, even to the point of obsession. This is something I have learned through the ups and downs we’ve been through together.

In a similar fashion, our feelings would mirror each other. It’s as if we’re taking turns feeling jealous and then reconciling. He can’t live without me, and I can’t live without him.

Lauren began dating Mark during their teenage years, prior to the time they gained fame together on the ITVBe reality program “The Only Way is Essex.

In the previous year, he hosted a program titled “A Wright Family Holiday” on the BBC, which was his own show, and simultaneously, his wife, Michelle, achieved the top spot on Netflix’s global charts with her leading part in the thriller series “Fool Me Once,” premiering in January.

However, Lauren thinks that if they had remained together during the peak of their fame as reality stars, Mark’s fate might have taken a different course.

She acknowledged that it had moments of toxicity, although not as severe as what she faced later on in her life.

Absolutely, we faced challenging periods that I guess you could refer to as difficult stages in our lives, where mistakes were made. However, keep in mind that we were still young during those times. These experiences were part of our growth. If we had matured a bit more and focused on specific areas, and perhaps received some assistance, we might have navigated through them more effectively.

After his breakup with Lauren, Mark was associated with multiple women until he encountered Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan in romantic contexts.

He had stirred up whispers of a romantic involvement with Australian DJ Emily Scott during their shared stint on “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” back in 2011.

In my own words, I’d say: Immediately upon departing the jungle, I made it clear that our bond was purely platonic and not something more romantic in nature, as far as I was concerned.

Based on my personal experiences and encounters, I can confidently say that Emily is an exceptional individual, both kind-hearted and visually appealing. However, it’s essential to clarify that there are no romantic feelings stirring within me towards her. In fact, I am not actively seeking a new relationship at this moment in my life.

In the jungle, there was a touch of playful banter, but nothing more serious developed. At present, I prefer solitude and being independent. Although she appears to be an attractive option, my feelings towards her are not reciprocal.

He also admitted his time on the show had confirmed there was no future with Lauren.

At the bar inside the Palazzo Versace hotel, it was observed that the two individuals were consuming both cocktails and shooters. Later on, they were accompanied by several other stars from the same TV show.

Meanwhile, while others chose to head to bed, they preferred to keep the party going at a nearby hotel instead.

Although Mark had a bad reputation, he softened significantly once he encountered Michelle in December. The two eventually tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmunds in 2015.

However, if Michelle, aged 37, had listened to her remarks concerning her television presenter spouse, the ceremony may not have transpired at all.

As a devoted fan, I simply can’t resist the allure of TOWIE. It’s the kind of show that you tell yourself you shouldn’t watch, but somehow find yourself tuning in nonetheless. However, I must admit, I’m baffled by how Lauren manages to accept Mark back so effortlessly – it’s quite awkward to witness!

Later on, it became known that Jake, who had Yazmin Oukhellou beside him as a passenger, was found to be three times above the legal limit for driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as being under the influence of cocaine.

A subsequent inquest into his death revealed he died of ‘traumatic head injuries’ at the scene.

‘They’re strong family men, they’ve just got a bit of a naughty side to them.’ 

In 2018, those very words returned to trouble her, as she found out that Joey was secretly sending explicit photos to numerous women from his jail cell.

By the year 2020, she had found herself entangled in yet another romantic affair, this one being with Charles Drury – a man known for his construction work and who had previously been linked to the famous model Katie Price.

In early 2021, the couple separated, a mere four months following the birth of their daughter Larose. However, they reconciled again approximately a few weeks later.

However, Lauren experienced the painful loss of their second-born daughter, Lorena, who tragically passed away in 2011 only moments after birth due to an umbilical cord entanglement around her neck.

Lauren chose to give birth at home when she became pregnant with her second child by her partner Charles Drury, who is also the father of her three-year-old daughter Larose.

Upon her waters breaking, Lauren reached out to her doula and midwife, who both advised her to remain at home, allowing her to carry out the planned water birth as intended.

During an interview with The Guardian, Lauren mentioned that the nurses advised her it might be more advantageous for her to stay at home, as there was a potential danger of infection in the hospital setting.

That evening, the reality TV personality underwent an examination by the midwife. She was informed that Lorena’s heart rate was healthy, however, a day afterwards, she hadn’t yet gone into labor.

According to recommended guidance, labor induction should be provided when labor has not started naturally within the first 24 hours following the breaking of a woman’s water membrane, and it is suggested that she should proceed to the hospital.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: I was suggested to seek medical attention at the hospital, but in the end, the choice was mine. I decided to give myself an extra day at home.

Later that day the midwife checked Lorena’s heartbeat again, which was normal.

The next day, Lauren’s contractions started at last, but unfortunately, the midwife couldn’t locate the baby’s heartbeat upon her return, leading to an immediate transfer of Lauren to emergency care.

Drawing upon my recent encounter beyond the hospital walls, I found myself in an unexpected situation – one that left me feeling rather exposed, as if my partner’s head was figuratively hanging out for all to see. The room seemed to fill with eyes, each pair questioning and judging, while my partner frantically pleaded, ‘Could you possibly find a private space for her?’

In a conversation about the ordeal, Lauren shared: ‘A team of ten doctors attempted to save her, administering adrenaline and other efforts, but it came too late.’ She learned later that had Lorena been born approximately seven hours earlier, she would have survived.

She expressed: “If only I had been examined earlier, perhaps I could have visited on the second day and gotten myself checked out with a monitor. Unfortunately, I can’t alter the past. You don’t believe this situation will repeat itself, do you?

For the last two years, Lauren has been unattached, following an allegation she made against her former partner, Charles, accusing him of assault during their daughter’s funeral day.

As a lifestyle guide, I must clarify that I found myself in a situation where I was accused by the Metropolitan Police of assault and displaying controlling and coercive behavior, as reported.

On June 14, he made an appearance at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, and bail was set for him to return to Snaresbrook Crown Court on July 12. It is said that he entered a plea of not guilty regarding the two accusations.

As reported by The Sun, Charles has been accused of controlling behavior, such as taking away her car keys and concealing them, along with repeatedly physically abusing her during their relationship.

According to a statement from the Metropolitan Police, a man was brought before a court for alleged crimes connected to an event that took place in Upminster.

On Wednesday, the 14th of June, Charles Drury, aged 25 (born on the 97th of June, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire), stood before Barkingside Magistrates’ Court. He was accused of inflicting harm (Assault Bodily Harm) and exhibiting controlling or coercive behavior.

‘He was bailed to next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 12 July.

The accusations stem from an occurrence that required the police to be dispatched to Upminster on August 4, 2022. A woman around thirty years old received treatment for injuries to her face.

In another phrasing, it was found that Charles was not guilty of assaulting Lauren as she decided to no longer back the prosecution in the case where he was accused of causing physical injury to her.

After enduring numerous tough experiences for a long time, Lauren, who re-joined TOWIE this year, is finding solace in regular gym workouts.

In a sequence reminiscent of a scripted reality show, she frequently crosses paths with Mark while working out, yet their interactions are limited to silent gestures.

As someone who has navigated the intricacies of human relationships throughout my life, I find myself reflecting on a peculiar dynamic that I have encountered more than once: two individuals who see each other regularly, yet maintain a seemingly impenetrable silence. This enigmatic situation is indeed strange and somewhat disconcerting, leaving one in a state of constant puzzlement.

I recall an instance where I found myself in such a predicament, where a colleague and I shared the same office space but scarcely exchanged a word. The strangeness of this arrangement was only intensified by the fact that we both worked closely on various projects, yet our interactions were limited to the bare essentials.

Despite my desire to bridge the gap between us and engage in friendly conversation, I found myself hesitant, fearing rejection or awkwardness. In such situations, I have learned to respect boundaries and wait for opportunities to present themselves organically. However, if the other person does not reciprocate or make any effort to initiate a connection, it can be challenging to reconcile the desire for camaraderie with the need for discretion.

In retrospect, I believe that the key lies in empathy and understanding. It is essential to recognize that people have their reasons for maintaining distance, even if they are not immediately apparent. By approaching such situations with an open mind and a genuine desire to connect, one can foster a sense of mutual respect and eventually break down the barriers that separate us.

In the end, it is crucial to remember that everyone has unique experiences and perspectives that shape their interactions with others. By embracing this truth and approaching each encounter with patience and compassion, we can forge connections that enrich our lives in ways we never imagined possible.

We share the same gym as our regular hangout spot, and we reside relatively close by. There have been instances where I’ve found myself standing beside him in lines at the gym, which always seems uncomfortable.

It’s clear that he has moved forward in life. I understand and appreciate that he should do so. Similarly, I value his need for personal space. However, I wish I could reach out and ask, “What’s up? Are things going well?” Yet, such a conversation has never transpired.

‘Currently, we remain silent due to the significant advancements in his life. I feel it’s essential to acknowledge and honor these changes, as well as his commitment to his partner and new life. Therefore, we choose not to engage at this time.’
