Inside MAFS bride Gia Fleur’s incredible transformation after she called ‘surfboard’ at school – as she reveals just how much she’s spent on plastic surgery to get her into the Playboy mansion

She’s a glamorous bride from Married At First Sight, often described as having a demanding personality and a stunning, doll-like figure.

But Gia Fleur wasn’t always so confident in her appearance.

The 35-year-old disability support worker told Daily Mail Australia that she used to be bullied as a teen. Over the years, she had several cosmetic surgeries hoping to improve how she felt about herself.

She admitted she used to be very self-critical. Growing up, especially as a teenager, she struggled with insecurity and a lack of confidence, unlike how she feels today. She was determined to overcome these feelings and become more comfortable with who she was.

I’ve always felt a disconnect between my inner self and how I presented myself to the world. I wanted my appearance to reflect who I truly am, so I made changes like dyeing my hair blonde and getting breast augmentation. These choices ultimately helped me become the person I feel I’m meant to be.

As a lifestyle expert, I often see people investing in themselves, and Gia is a great example of that. She’s spent around $40,000 on cosmetic procedures to achieve the look she wants. That includes a $12,000 breast augmentation, an $11,000 rhinoplasty (or nose job), and she also had veneers done, which cost around $10,000. It really shows how people are prioritizing how they feel about their appearance these days.

Even after completely changing her look, the reality TV contestant confessed that being on Married At First Sight brought back feelings of insecurity.

She explained that she was worried about the experiment, specifically being unfairly judged and not getting a fair opportunity.

This situation reminded me of being bullied in high school. Back then, I never stood up for myself – I just accepted it. Seeing this brought back those feelings, and I reacted based on that past experience.

Gia openly shared stories about her time living in Los Angeles and attending parties at the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Hefner.

She said she met a woman in Los Angeles who had previously been a Playboy Playmate and had tickets to visit the Playboy Mansion.

After visiting consistently, Hugh Hefner added me to the permanent guest list, and my girlfriend and I started going every Sunday.

Looking back, I had some fun early freelance gigs with a magazine – it feels like a lifetime ago! I was quite young then, and it was a really great experience. Now, at 35, I cherish those first steps in my career.

This follows the Daily Mail’s exclusive publication of photos showing Gia at the Playboy Mansion with Hugh Hefner.

Gia, wearing a low-cut black corset paired with a short denim jacket, posed with the founder of Playboy at what looked like one of his legendary parties.

While living in Los Angeles, Gia appeared in several popular music videos, such as ‘Freaks’ by French Montana featuring Nicki Minaj, and ‘Take Me Back’ by Gillespie.

Let me tell you, when I was revisiting Tod Browning’s Freaks, I noticed a fascinating moment. There’s a scene where I spotted her dancing in this incredibly vibrant, neon-lit club. She really stood out – think big, glamorous hair, a super-fitted outfit, and she was right in the middle of all these performers! It’s a surprisingly dazzling moment, and really shows a different side to her.

Gia is proving to be the season’s wildest bride, but she has equally audacious friends.

As her wedding to Scott McCristal approached on Tuesday’s episode, the energetic disability support worker asked her friends, Brooke and William, to be with her while she prepared.

Gia thought a couple of guests had been drinking before arriving, and they caused a big argument that threw her wedding preparations into chaos.

Gia’s loud outburst caused William, who she’d asked to be her best man, to angrily leave. He accused her of acting like a spoiled celebrity, saying she was definitely not as talented as Mariah Carey.

Viewers watching from home overwhelmingly supported William, and many took to social media to say he was a compelling and entertaining character.

‘OMG this guy is the best thing to happen to the show so far,’ commented one person on X.

Another said: ‘Baller move would be inviting Will to the dinner parties this season.’

Okay, let’s talk real talk. I recently saw someone suggest swapping out the usual experts for… well, someone with a very direct approach! They basically said, and I quote, ‘You’re not Mariah Carey, take a seat!’ It’s a funny reminder that sometimes, a little blunt honesty is exactly what people need. It’s definitely a bold take, but honestly, I get the appeal – a little less ‘expert opinion,’ a little more relatable reality can be refreshing.

Okay, seriously, we NEED this queen back! And someone get her a lifetime supply of whatever she wants to drink beforehand because she needs to absolutely destroy that cringe crypto guy – a round trip to the Gold Coast and back is the least he deserves! I’m just saying, it’s a public service at this point.

Someone else shared: ‘I’m laughing so hard! Someone just accused another person of being a diva, and five seconds later, she stormed out!’

Someone else commented that they enjoyed Gia’s friends, adding that the group seemed determined to make the most of their moment in the spotlight, embracing the attention in a very over-the-top way.

Someone else watching at home asked: ‘Is William expecting some kind of media deal after this?’

Gia had a heated confrontation with her slightly drunk best man just hours before her wedding to Scott McCristal during Tuesday night’s episode.

As she got ready for her wedding, her friend William arrived to offer assistance with the preparations.

However, Gia did not appear to appreciate his assistance and began furiously telling him off.

Gia snapped at William, who walked in while she was applying makeup, “I’m not ready yet, leave me alone.”

Gia then proceeded to tell William off for ‘distracting’ her during such an important day.

“I have a huge amount of work left, so please stop interrupting me,” Gia said angrily. “We’re really short on time, and I don’t need any more stress right now.”

Honestly, I was shocked! Gia was getting so worked up, and William just stopped her right there. He told her, pretty directly, to take a breath, relax, and not to become a total Bridezilla. It was a bit harsh, maybe, but someone needed to say it!

Overcome with emotion, Gia exploded, saying, “Everything was fine before you showed up. Just give me five minutes alone, please. I’m finished – I don’t want you with me anymore, just leave me alone.”

Gia finished getting ready and headed down to the beach to marry Scott, a 33-year-old playfully called ‘Scotty the hottie’.
