Inside Madeline Holtznagel’s $100M Harbour View Baby Shower Celebration

On Saturday, Madeline Holtznagel went all out while hosting an extravagant baby shower for her upcoming first child with billionaire pub mogul Justin Hemmes.

The expectant woman, aged 28, adorned the $100 million mansion known as The Hermitage, which she and her 52-year-old hospitality businessman partner share, as she hosted an illustrious group of Sydney high society figures.

So far, Madeline hasn’t mentioned anything about the affair on her social media platforms. However, her sister Simone, ‘nude artist’ Dina Broadhurst, and some other friends have shared glimpses of the lavish event on Instagram.

With every step, the expectant mother exuded pride in her stylish attire, a stunning white maxi dress featuring a deep v-neck and designed by Arcina Ori, priced at $620.

She gently held her expanding belly while allowing her golden hair to cascade in soft curls, favoring a simple makeup style.

Visitors appreciated a close-up, clear perspective of the breathtaking Sydney harbor, adorned with colorful balloons in shades of pink and blue scattered across the lawn.

At that unforgettable gathering, I couldn’t help but indulge in a mouthwatering array of personalized delicacies. From tiny spoons laden with caviar to succulent bites of seared salmon, and even decadent cream-filled doughnuts, each morsel was pure heaven for my taste buds!

At some moment, Madeline was noticeably smiling widely, almost from one ear to the other, as she sliced into a lavish three-layer gourmet chocolate cake within her spacious kitchen.

At her residence’s arrival, 31-year-old Simone showcased her long, slender legs in a beige minidress, momentarily concealing her eyes with a fashionable pair of dark designer shades.

Meanwhile, Dina, 48, showed off her bust in a $560 baby blue mini dress from SIR.

Marcus Brodie, holding the title of Guest Relations Manager at Merivale, which is Justin’s company, posted a compilation of impromptu photos he took during the event.

Among some of the female attendees, there was a noticeable trend of wearing white dresses. Additionally, Marcus captured a photograph of a toy car intended as a present for Madeline’s newborn baby, affectionately nicknamed ‘Baby H’ by Simone.

The Design Director at Merivale, Nasim Köerting, was also in attendance.

I couldn’t contain my excitement as I eagerly posted a flurry of snapshots showcasing Madeline, her friends, and the joyous moments we shared. The star attractions? A towering cake and mouthwatering dishes, masterfully crafted by none other than Chef Tal Buchnik and Executive Chef Mike Eggert at Merivale – a testament to their culinary genius!

Model Julia Cavanagh posted several glimpses behind the scenes, showcasing a table overflowing with presents from family members, along with a garment line adorned with numerous baby-sized clips.

Montana Cox, who’s also a model, posted a picture of Madeline striking a pose in front of Sydney Harbor, with her head thrown back. Her pals were the ones clicking the photos.

The Hermitage, constructed back in 1831, was purchased by John and Merivale Hemmes (Justin’s parents) for half a million dollars during the 1970s.

Justin spent his childhood in a grand, gothic-looking mansion valued at around $100 million today, and he returned to live there again in 2011 to carry out extensive restoration work on this historic building designated as a cultural heritage site.

Within the grandeur of the soon-to-be Justin and Madeline’s family home, baby shower guests admired the opulent features such as Carrara marble, copper accents, natural stone, and European oak joinery.

The upcoming threesome plans to relax each day in a spacious, angular outdoor pool that boasts a pool-side bar and lounging area, offering breathtaking vistas of the harbor.

In November, Daily Mail Australia was informed by an inside source about the thrilling news of Madeline’s pregnancy, and they shared that a friend of Justin’s had recently vacated his Vaucluse residence to accommodate their expanding household.

Justin, with a net worth estimated at $1.39 billion, is the father of Alexa and Saachi, two daughters he shares with his former partner Kate Fowler. They parted ways in 2018.

A year later, the influential entrepreneur started seeing Madeline, who was a 22-year-old model at that time, while he himself was 47 years old.

Over the past few months, they have often been seen together, appearing more affectionate than ever. Lately, they attended the wedding of Pilates instructor Bernadette Fahey and Jordan Sukkar.

In 2019, Justin and Madeline started spending time together quietly. This was a year after he made his first appearance on the Financial Review’s Rich List, with an estimated net worth of $951 million, which has now grown to approximately $1.39 billion.

Despite usually maintaining privacy about their relationship, the pair frequently step off his seaplane following opulent getaways with his two daughters, suggesting a close-knit family bond.

The pair has been thriving consistently since they made their relationship public, and speculation about an engagement arose as early as June 2023.

Astute spectators spotted that Madeline was adorning a ring on her engagement finger, fueling speculation about whether Justin had proposed.

The photograph captured her wearing the jewelry, snuggled with Justin, both savoring a bowl of Udon noodles at a Japanese eatery.

However, the ornament seemed to symbolize an emerald and diamond pledge ring, while in another snapshot, she was seen donning a distinct ring on the same finger as she struck a pose for a self-portrait.

Yet, the accessory appeared to be an emerald and diamond promise ring, and in another picture, she was wearing a unique ring on the very same finger as she captured a selfie.

In August, Madeline shared an uncommon public message on Instagram to celebrate Justin’s 52nd birthday.

She shared a series of romantic selfies of them both and gushed over her partner in the caption.

In a single image, Madeline beamed widely from her perch on Justin’s lap, with him returning an affectionate gaze towards her.

Justin is widely known as Australia’s “hospitality monarch,” overseeing more than 80 establishments and holding a vast amount of wealth, while serving as CEO of Merivale, which includes popular brands such as the Ivy, Queen Chow, and Establishment under its management.

John Hemmes, who founded the Merivale Group and is known for his ownership of nightclubs, has just one son named Justin. Upon John’s passing in 2015, Justin inherited and assumed control of the family business.

Madeline is the younger sibling of Australian model Simone Holtznagel, who gave birth to her first child, a girl named Gia, around a year ago, with her former partner Jono Castano.
