I must admit, Kanye West’s antics with his Malibu mansion have left me quite intrigued. As a seasoned home renovator myself, I can appreciate the allure of a blank canvas to create one’s dream abode. However, stripping down a $57.3 million beachfront mansion to transform it into a “bomb shelter” or a “Batcave,” as he puts it, seems like an extreme and costly endeavor.

Kanye West has just bought a luxurious $35 million residence in the exclusive, guarded neighborhood of Beverly Park, located within the fashionable city of Beverly Hills.

The rapper’s, 47, lavish Mediterranean-style estate boasts 11 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms.

The home also features private gardens, panoramic city views and a tennis court.

On roughly seven sprawling acres lies a grand estate boasting amenities such as a luxurious spa-like swimming pool complete with a cascading waterfall, another pool designed for laps, a cozy poolside retreat, and a venue for enjoyable gatherings – an entertainment pavilion.

Kanye West, along with his spouse Bianca Censori (aged 29), can expect a star-studded community, since celebrities like Adele, Denzel Washington, Sofia Vergara, and Justin Bieber reside in their neighborhood as well.

Property records showed that he put down $35 million for the impressive estate, per TMZ.

In the designer’s latest home, there’s a standalone structure specifically for social gatherings, linked to the primary dwelling.

Additionally, there are various waterfalls cascading elegantly into distinct swimming pools scattered throughout the spacious garden.

Inside the house, pictures showcase a spacious, modern kitchen equipped with sleek stainless-steel appliances, accompanied by contemporary artwork adorning the walls.

His new home also features a pool house and a gazebo as well as a paddle tennis court.

The tennis court is also equipped with a basketball hoop for additional recreational purposes.

It’s said that Kanye West allegedly withdrew funds from his retirement savings and took out loans from risky mortgage providers to buy the $35 million Beverly Hills mansion – a house he plans not to inhabit with his wife Bianca, according to DailyMail.com’s exclusive report last month.

According to DailyMail.com, the rapper and his spouse took out a combined loan of approximately $15.5 million – this includes a $2.7 million loan from a businessperson in the fitness industry.

Together with his wife Bianca, they own the property through their company Shore Drive Holdings LLC. It was acquired primarily as an investment and is expected to generate income through rental.

As a devoted supporter, I found myself needing multiple financial institutions to fund the acquisition. Among them was a private loan provider who embodied the spirit of ‘when traditional banking denies, private funding becomes the ultimate path forward’.

The agreement encompassed a company providing high-risk mortgages to individuals whose credit histories and scores would normally disqualify them from such loans.

Kanye agreed to a trust deed concerning rental agreements and earnings – implying that if he misses mortgage payments, the lender has the right to claim profits from any future rental income.

He’s also taken a further $3 million mortgage from two sources – RGGL LLC and pension firm Provident Trust Group.

The RGGL business belongs to fitness enthusiasts Richard and Lucy Glassman, residents of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Through their broker, Private Money Solutions (PMS), they transferred a sum of $2,693,000.

As an enthusiastic admirer, let me say that PMS functions like a swift provider of substantial funds for those in need, offering short-term loans that are backed by real estate properties. Essentially, they have a network of investors ready to lend large sums quickly.

The Glassmans aren’t directly linked to Kanye on a personal level, but Richard explained to DailyMail.com why he participated in the agreement. He was required to contribute $19.5 million of his own funds towards the acquisition, accounting for 55% of the total asking price.

The acquisition took place several months following his sale of the Malibu hideaway, a bomb shelter-style residence crafted by the acclaimed architect Tadao Ando.

In 2021, I decided to transform my seaside abode into a fortified refuge, a project that garnered attention. Eventually, I sold this property for approximately $21 million – a significant decrease of 60% from what I had initially paid for it.

In 2022, following his divorce from Kim Kardashian, he splurged on a stunning beachfront mansion in Malibu for an impressive $57.3 million.

As a seasoned lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that I recently witnessed a significant milestone in the realm of real estate investments. On September 26, a distinguished firm, Belwood Investments, successfully sealed the deal on a property worth an impressive $21 million. This acquisition marks another strategic move in their portfolio expansion strategy.

The investment firm revealed bold aspirations for completely renovating the stone stronghold, previously damaged by West as part of his plan to transform it into a ‘shelter for explosions.’

He had stripped it of plumbing and electricity, with all the windows and doors removed.

According to reports, West and his new wife, Censori, who tied the knot secretly after West’s divorce from Kardashian, allegedly hired a worker from New Jersey anonymously to demolish their Malibu home – constructed in 2013 by renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando.

One of the employees who was brought on board shared with The New Yorker that West envisioned constructing a safe haven, similar to a bomb shelter, as well as a personal hideout, much like Batman’s cave.

By September 2023, reports to TMZ indicated that West was planning to strip his house of its windows and power supply, transforming it into a 1910s-style bomb shelter.

Reportedly, his plan was to knock down the marble bathrooms, dismantle the plumbing, and install slides instead of stairs, all with the intention of creating a secluded space that would serve as a sanctuary for him from both the Clintons and the Kardashians.

Originally, the previous supervisor of the renovation project, Tony Saxon, who initiated a legal action against West due to his belief that he was dismissed following his expression of worries about the alleged high-risk nature of the project, asserted that the musician desired no electrical power.

‘He only wanted plants. He only wanted candles. He only wanted battery lights. And he just wanted to have everything open and dark.’

Not long after their wedding, the couple found themselves leaving the house as they realized that the project was impractical.
