Inside Jackie O’s secret meeting with major radio network as she breaks cover after bombshell claim that she ‘didn’t quit’… and she and Kyle both lawyer up

Last year, before leaving her popular radio show, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson quietly visited a major UK commercial radio station.

According to our sources, a meeting took place while Jackie Henderson was in Europe for a radio conference. This raises questions about whether she was exploring job options outside of Australia, especially as her professional relationship with Kyle Sandilands was becoming strained following their recent $100 million, ten-year contracts with ARN.

Last week, ARN confirmed that Henderson had left the company. This followed her informing them she could no longer work with Kyle Sandilands after his critical on-air remarks on February 20th caused her significant distress. ARN filed a notice with the ASX stating her contract had been terminated.

After the initial announcement, most people believed Henderson had left the show and broken her contract. However, on Friday, she surprised everyone again with another big reveal.

Through her manager, Gemma O’Neill, the 51-year-old media personality said she hadn’t quit or resigned from her position. She expressed deep sadness at the potential cancellation of the show and stated she was surprised by the news of her departure.

According to sources, the statement was likely written after legal consultation. It implies that someone on Henderson’s team may have discussed issues with her workplace with Sandilands, and ARN management then used those concerns as a reason to end her contract.

Sandilands is now using experienced lawyers to defend himself against claims he broke his contract. This comes after ARN, the company he works with, gave him two weeks to fix the problem or risk losing his job.

Interestingly, before the Kyle and Jackie O Show ended in controversy, Henderson was spotted by other Australians while having lunch in the cafeteria at Bauer Media Audio UK’s offices in England last year.

According to a source, she was seen at the coffee shop on the ground floor by someone who previously lived and worked in Australia, and they recognized her.

Bauer, a major European radio company owned by a German group, previously owned popular Australian magazines like Woman’s Day and New Idea.

In the UK, its Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio reach 12.4 million listeners each week.

We don’t know if Henderson’s trip to Bauer Audio HQ was for work or a personal visit. According to a source, she might have simply been visiting a friend.

Henderson’s social media posts show she traveled to Italy with her daughter, Kitty, who is fifteen years old, in April.

The pair was pictured visiting several tourist attractions, including the Tower of Pisa.

Last March, before traveling to Italy, she presented at Radiodays Europe, a major international conference for the audio industry, held in Athens, Greece.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I was listening to John Simons on the radio, and he actually got her to admit it! She said she’d seriously consider just… walking away from her $100 million contract! Can you even imagine?! It’s insane, but also… so her! She’s just that amazing and dedicated to her art. I’m completely losing it right now!

As a lifestyle expert, I always advise people to honor their commitments, but also to know their worth. In this situation, it was pointed out that a prior agreement existed where walking away from the show – and a decade-long contract – was on the table if the circumstances weren’t a good fit. It’s important to remember that sometimes, doing what’s right for you means being prepared to follow through on those initial understandings.

‘Yes I would,’ Henderson answered.

As you get older, it’s really important to stay true to who you are and find joy in things that genuinely feel right for you.

She explained that as soon as this stops feeling right, she doesn’t want to be tied to the agreement and motivated only by financial gain.

‘I’ve never been driven by money in my career and I always want to stay true to that.

‘So, if it doesn’t feel right, at any stage, I would be prepared to walk away from that.’

On Monday, Henderson was seen in public for the first time since clarifying she hadn’t quit her job. She visited The Parlour Room beauty salon for a spray tan.

The woman, who has one child, spent most of last week at her home in Clovelly having urgent meetings to discuss a difficult situation.

She seemed a little sad and was dressed entirely in black. She wore loose, wide-legged parachute pants with a flowing tank top that had gold accents.

She completed her look with open-toed sandals and seemed to be treating herself to a pedicure at the fancy salon, where a full-body tan costs more than $60.

To prepare for her spray tan, Henderson didn’t wear any makeup and protected her eyes with stylish sunglasses.

In 2023, Sandilands and Henderson signed a 10-year contract with ARN. Last week, that agreement with Henderson was ended, leaving Sandilands with eight years remaining on their original contract.

ARN suggested Henderson might get another show on their network, but didn’t offer any details.

Henderson hadn’t been on The Kyle and Jackie O show since February 20th, following accusations from Kyle Sandilands, 54, that he wasn’t concentrating enough at work.

While arguing on live television, Henderson became emotional and started crying when the conversation turned to Prince Andrew.

Sandilands became upset when Henderson publicly shared the royal’s astrological chart, believing her interest in astrology was interfering with her job.

When Henderson tried to defend herself, he stated he was only expressing the ‘facts’.

Henderson was very upset by the incident and took time off work. She was scheduled to come back to the show on March 2nd.

It was then announced her return to the airwaves had been pushed back another week.

On last Tuesday’s show, Sandilands mentioned that Henderson would eventually be back on the radio. However, ARN unexpectedly announced her firing soon after.

Last week, Sandilands admitted he wished he had handled things differently.

I clearly bothered her. Looking back, I probably shouldn’t have said that while we were live on the radio. But we often say things impulsively on this show.

I didn’t intend to upset her, but clearly I did, and I feel bad about that. Nobody wants to cause pain, especially to someone they care about.

I’m not sure what’s going to happen. The show is continuing as planned regardless, and I’m letting the management team handle everything from here on out.

Sandilands explained he simply wants to return to broadcasting with everyone feeling good about the situation. He expressed a desire for everyone involved to be happy and enjoy the process, including himself.

Henderson’s manager and close friend, Gemma O’Neill, was asked about reports that she had visited the British radio station’s offices.
