Inside Hoda Kotb’s ‘warm and cozy’ $2.89M suburban home in Bronxville – where she’ll have fresh start after shock Today show exit

As an ardent fan of Hoda Kotb, I can’t help but feel a mix of admiration and envy as I read about her new chapter in the tranquil village of Bronxville. Having been a staple on the Today show for almost two decades, her decision to leave the fast-paced lifestyle of Manhattan to provide her daughters with a quieter upbringing is nothing short of inspiring.

Hoda Kotb is beginning a fresh phase of life in the quaint town of Bronxville, which lies about 15 miles north of Midtown Manhattan, after her unexpected exit from the Today show.

On Thursday mornings, the seasoned journalist of 60 years shared her intentions for leaving behind her hectic life in bustling New York, aiming to offer her daughters Haley (age 7) and Hope a more tranquil childhood in Westchester County instead.

It’s come to light through Realtor.com that the popular television figure, who has been a mainstay on the Today show for almost two decades, secretly bought a $2.89 million home in one of America’s wealthiest suburbs towards the end of April.

In the small town of Bronxville, where about 6,000 people reside, the typical house selling price hovers around $2.325 million.

This newly constructed, nearly 4,000 square foot residence from 1952 offers ample outdoor space in the back, boasts four cozy bedrooms, five modern bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen designed for cooking enthusiasts, and soaring ceiling heights.

Another perk of the property is its close proximity to nearby schools and parks.

Besides expanding the living area for her daughters, Kotb’s main bedroom stretches over 765 square feet and includes an en-suite spa bathroom, as per the property’s listing details.

During the summer season, EC Builders Inc. announced that they had completed renovations on a particular property they are responsible for.

Kotb chose to step down from Today because she wanted to devote more meaningful moments to her children.

She mentioned during yesterday’s broadcast that they should get a larger slice of her time pie compared to others. In essence, she believes that our time is limited. Given this perspective, she finds it extremely challenging to make such decisions.

Earlier, she and her daughters (born from her relationship with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman) resided in the Upper West Side.

Now, Kotb says ‘everything changed’ for their family. 

‘I have a whole new town and a whole new school and all the new things,’ she said. 

She continued: ‘We went for our first day of school, I carried a coffee, and I [was wearing] sneakers, and I walked my kids to school like normal people. It was awesome.’ 

Previously, Kotb’s current neighborhood had been listed as the eighth wealthiest area in the United States according to Bloomberg in 2018, among the top 100 richest places in America.

Speaking to The New York Times, a local characterized Bronxville as neither extravagant nor glitzy, yet lively throughout the entire day.

‘Everybody walks, even children, yet we are half an hour from Grand Central,’ another noted. 

Furthermore, Bronxville is recognized for its top-notch educational institutions, which even include two university campuses.

Both Sarah Lawrence and Concordia are located in Bronxville.
