The success of Mortal Kombat II (separate from a potential sequel to the recent Mortal Kombat 1) has sparked a lot of speculation about their next project.

While Injustice 2 Mobile continues to be updated, the Injustice series hasn’t been a major focus for NetherRealm, as they’ve recently released two successful Mortal Kombat games, Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1. When it comes to which characters should be playable, fans have a lot of ideas! Popular choices range from bringing back favorites like Blue Beetle and Black Canary to adding new faces like Booster Gold and Beast Boy.

One user, korovio, suggested including Terry McGinnis, the Batman from the future in Batman Beyond. They think he’d be a great addition, even alongside a classic Batman, as both characters are mainstays of DC and the Injustice series. Another user, AlexHunterWolf, proposed Darkseid, Anti-Monitor, or Doctor Manhattan as potential villains, hoping Superman won’t be the primary antagonist again.

It appears that fans of the Injustice series would prefer a fresh start with a new game, rather than a direct sequel like Injustice 3.
