Influencer UNLEASHES: ‘You Try Filming Your Face All Day, It’s NOT Easy!’
On a Friday evening, Skye Wheatley left her followers astonished with an unconventional outpouring on Instagram, expressing the challenges she faces in her role as an influencer.
31-year-old winner of I’m A Celebrity found herself furious earlier today, sharing that she felt belittled by being laughed at and gawked at during the shooting of her content in public.
After finishing a bottle of wine that she really needed, she logged online next to express her disapproval towards those labeling her as ‘cringe’, stating that they failed to appreciate the amount of effort she puts in.
For those ladies who prefer red wine, she found the Elephant Pinot Noir unpleasant at first, but continued to drink it and surprisingly enjoyed it later on, she commented.
In more appropriate terms, she expressed her discomfort about public shooting like this: ‘Public shooting is just awful. Strangers giving you strange looks and making fun of you. People secretly recording you to share with their friends (haha, isn’t it funny, look at this self-absorbed individual),’ she wrote next to a picture of herself at a grocery store.
In a more conversational style: “When we’re taking a picture and people shout ‘that’s cringe’, we don’t let that stop us from getting the shot. I know it might seem awkward to you, but for us, these ‘cringe’ moments are part of our creative process. We apologize if it causes any discomfort, but there’s a lot of thought and effort put into making these images.
I know it’s not the conventional way to earn money but it’s how some people earn money to live.’
Skye continued by pointing out: “It seems intriguing for folks to peek and scrutinize, yet wouldn’t it be absurd if we walked into a room filled with people using computers, stared, ridiculed, and made fun of someone working? That’s essentially what we do when we watch others online.
‘It is cringe but only because of how guilty we feel doing it.’
She emphasized that “the workforce is shifting towards new paths,” and urged her detractors to cease dwelling on their resentment regarding this change.
In the realm of sharing personal insights, I found myself nestled in a softly illuminated sanctuary, sipping on a luscious glass of rich red wine. As I let the day’s challenges unfurl, I couldn’t help but express my feelings, acknowledging that I had indulged in an evening beverage, a bottle of fine wine to be precise.
In my line of work as a lifestyle expert, I can’t help but feel the weight of constantly capturing myself throughout the day. It’s not your typical routine, I understand that. However, it serves a dual purpose: it allows me an outlet for creativity and, in a roundabout way, helps promote what I’m endorsing. At times, it can be challenging to maintain focus and clarity while discussing this topic.
She expressed, “It feels awkward seeing influencers. I believe the reason for this is that it’s relatively new and often met with disapproval because many perceive it as simple. However, there’s more to it than just taking a picture.
You seem to be underestimating it… It often appears simple to observe others’ jobs from afar and think, “I can certainly handle that with ease.” However, things aren’t always as straightforward as they appear from the outside perspective.
Until you experience their circumstances and perform the actions they are taking, it can be extremely challenging.

She added that many individuals might claim they can influence others, but have they actually given it a try?
Have you ever experienced the challenge of recording yourself for an entire day, brainstorming what to say in front of a camera, searching for popular TikTok trends like sounds, audios, and dance moves… It can be quite intricate.
‘Everyone’s job has more behind the scenes than what we are seeing.’
Skye found it significantly less challenging to dress her children, tend to the garden, and clean the house when she wasn’t recording the tasks.
She announced excitedly, “I thought you should be aware, they’re about to use a tripod for the setup!” It feels quite unusual to have someone hold a camera, and it can be quite an arduous task.
Skye stated, “I’ve worked as a cleaner, and throughout my 31 years, I’ve dabbled in various professions. Comparing my job to that of my mother, an accountant, and sister, who is also a cleaner, I must say it has its challenges, but both are important roles.
‘When I say I’ve done cleaning, I clean my own house.
‘When I say I’ve done computer work, I manage my own emails. I manage myself,’ she clarified.

Skye expressed that spending an entire day responding to her own emails while seated at a computer desk left her feeling devoid of sensation.
Pouring herself a fresh glass, Skye said ‘thank you Jesus for your blood,’ and giggled to herself.
If I could offer some guidance, if you’re earning well, refrain from starting a business, but let me correct myself – I apologize, as I’m supposed to be encouraging. However, the laughter escapes me!
Or more concisely:
If earning well, consider not starting a business, though I meant to inspire, not discourage. (Laughs)
‘Save for a house, get some land, f**k doing your own business.’
After spending less than half a year since her previous surgery, an emotional response occurred following Skye’s visit to the tattooist again, this time following a series of cosmetic treatments including the questionable ‘fox eye lift’ and additional beauty enhancements she underwent in Turkey last year.
On Saturday morning, Skye shared in her Stories: “Oh my goodness,” she exclaimed. “I didn’t have a chance to finish my rant. Darn me, let’s hope we all enjoyed the red wine conversations. Next time I do this, it will be limited to close friends.
