Influencer Kristy Scott breaks her silence on shock divorce from Desmond Scott after 11 years of marriage

Kristy Scott is sharing her feelings with her 27 million followers a month after filing for divorce from her husband, Desmond Scott, whom she was married to for over eleven years.

On Wednesday, the 30-year-old media influencer shared a video on Instagram and TikTok showing her grocery shopping at Whole Foods Market.

With a sigh, Scott said she was simply doing her best to navigate things and keep moving forward as she wheeled the cart down the aisle.

She wore a stylish, feathered sweater, and her shiny hair beautifully framed her carefully made-up face.

Scott, who has a large social media following – even bigger than Meghan Markle’s – is still working towards achieving the same widespread recognition as the Duchess of Sussex. He started a recent three-minute video by describing this moment as a surprising new phase in his life.

‘I’m literally shaking,’ she said, holding out her wobbly hand.

‘I’m really nervous making this video, but also my nervous system is like shot, it kind of has been for the past month,’ the mother-of-two conceded.

Scott and his wife, a chef and online content creator, have two sons, Vance, age seven, and Westin, age six. The couple married in 2014 when they were both very young – Scott was 19 and his wife was 20.

She filed for divorce on December 30, 2025, alleging infidelity, per People.

While showing her followers around the well-stocked store, she explained she wasn’t feeling like her normal, cheerful self at the moment.

Many of you have asked me to make more lighthearted videos, but I’m not feeling up to it right now. I want to be honest and share what I’m really going through as I navigate this transition, even the difficult parts.

She said this was her ‘first time’ grocery shopping for just her and the boys.

Scott said he felt a bit thrilled to be grocery shopping for the first time, explaining that it felt good to be able to buy whatever he needed. He added that while he could always get what he wanted, this time it felt different.

I watched her grab pretzels, cereal, and pepperoni pizza for the kids, and then she admitted she was craving something too, grabbing ice cream for herself. She confessed she’d been indulging in late-night snacks just like them!

Scott said she’s planning a trip to the grocery store for some easy dinners, admitting she really doesn’t know how to cook.

Scott thanked her followers for ‘being such a good support system.’

I’m not trying to get upset, but I think this situation will show you a side of me you don’t usually see. Everyone always sees me as energetic and funny, and honestly, I’m just not feeling that way right now. I can’t pretend I’m up for being playful or cheerful.

Scott shared an update on her relationship with her ex, saying things are currently peaceful and drama-free.

She said she’s been receiving many messages from women online, and hearing their similar experiences has been really helpful, even if she can’t reply to everyone.

Earlier this month, Scott indicated via Instagram that she’s still living in the marital abode.

On January 14th, she shared photos from a photoshoot inside her home – showing off her living room and kitchen – and simply wrote, ‘Same address.’ In the pictures, she had a polished hairstyle and was wearing a tight-fitting red dress with matching heels.

On January 10, her ex addressed the split via his Instagram Stories.

Desmond started by saying he was sorry to Kristy, his family, and anyone else affected by the recent publicity around this issue.

My children and their mother, Kristy, are my top priority. I’m dedicated to continuing to be a loving and involved father to our sons, just as I always have been.

He explained that Kristy and he had been working through difficulties, but by late 2025, he’d decided he wanted to separate and had discussed this with her.

I was really struck by Desmond’s honesty when he talked about his split. He openly said he’d made some decisions during that difficult time that he wasn’t happy about, and that really resonated with me. It takes courage to admit when you’ve messed up, especially publicly, and I admire him for being so upfront about it.
