Influencer Kayla Itsines’ husband Jae Woodroffe responds to concerns about their giant Doberman ‘protection dog’ being around their young children

Kayla Itsines’ husband has responded to fans who raised concerns about his choice of pet. 

Jae Woodroffe firmly believes that their large Doberman, named Royce, poses no danger to the two little kids living in their household.

Kayla shares daughter Arna, five, with her ex Tobi Pearce and son Jax, one, with husband Jae.

‘It takes a very special dog to do what these dogs do’. 

Jae added, “When Royce isn’t focused, he tends to be quite clumsy. That’s why we’re always a bit worried that one of the children might get accidentally knocked over.

In response to her seven-month long experience with stalking, Kayla decided to include a well-trained, larger dog as one of her protective measures within her household.

She had to obtain a guard dog after a man waited outside her home ‘every single day’ for months.

Itines narrated her account on the YouTube platform belonging to Protection Dogs Worldwide, the entity that supplied the animals.

Kayla disclosed an unexpected encounter with a man whose kindness initially appeared as if he were the most wonderful person on earth, but things later took a sinister turn.

Kayla gladly posed for a selfie with the man and even went ahead to record a video for him as well.

After the seemingly innocent encounter, Kayla said she started seeing the man more and more. 

Kayla admitted that her dogs had given her much-needed peace of mind.

‘I have never slept more soundly in my entire life knowing I have my dogs there,’ she said.

They are truly extraordinary! I can hardly find words to express my deep gratitude for those two wonderful dogs who seem like the best in the entire world.

Last year, a fitness expert and personal coach, aged 34, along with her family, relocated from Adelaide to the Gold Coast.

Kayla and Jae tied the knot in December 2023 following a two-year engagement. 

But their fairytale romance first blossomed under unusual circumstances.  

Things between them didn’t always run smoothly, as they reunited not long after parting ways with their former partners (Kayla and Jae). Additionally, a rift developed between Jae’s ex-girlfriend and Kayla.

On September 26, 2021, Kayla publicly displayed her romantic involvement with fitness trainer Jae for the first time. This happened as they were seen affectionately together outside a kebab shop in Adelaide.

In January 2022, Kayla introduced Jae to her Instagram followers by sharing a picture of them cuddling. She accompanied the image with a caption that identified him as her longtime friend who is now her partner.

Last year in January, the contented pair had their initial child, a son called Jax, who joined them. Meanwhile, Kayla, along with her previous partner Tobi Pearce, shares guardianship of her five-year-old daughter Arna.

In a shared arrangement, both Kayla and Tobi are responsible for their daughter Arna. Additionally, Kayla became a mother to a new baby boy named Jax, who she had with Jae, in January of 2023.
