It’s great to finally switch gears from game reviews and focus on tech! Today, I’m reviewing the Infinix GT 30, which I’ve been using as my daily driver for the past month. I took my time with this review to make sure I cover everything important.
Design and Handling come across as the best in the segment
Let’s talk about the design first. This phone really impressed me with its modern, almost futuristic look. The lines, lighting, and shiny glass back remind me a bit of the Asus ROG phone, but in a more subtle way. It’s also surprisingly lightweight and feels comfortable to hold, even when gaming for extended periods.

I loved the way this phone felt in my hand so much that I didn’t want to put a case on it. It’s perfectly sized and comfortable to hold. The curved edges give it a sleek, Apple-like design, but it’s generally more streamlined and fits comfortably in your grip.
Display sees some bonuses with Audio output being excellent
The device’s AMOLED screen is impressive, displaying vibrant and accurate colors. I found the brightness to be more than sufficient, even when using it outside. The touchscreen is also very responsive, providing a smooth and reliable experience.

The screen scrolls smoothly and displays colors accurately, especially considering the phone’s price. Plus, the JBL-tuned stereo speakers deliver surprisingly good sound quality – much better than you’d typically find in this price range.
Performance and Gaming experience were pleasant
One of the biggest reasons I tested this phone was to see how well it handles games! It generally feels fast and reacts quickly to everything you do. Switching between apps is seamless, and I didn’t notice any slowdowns with everyday tasks. But gaming is where this phone really excels. It runs popular games like PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile smoothly with high graphics settings, even during extended play sessions.
I spent a lot of time playing Delta Force, and naturally, I wanted to test it out on this device. I aimed for my preferred settings – around 90 frames per second – and I was really pleased with how well it performed.

The phone is powered by a strong Mediatek Dimensity 7400 processor, which delivers excellent performance. I tested it with all the different graphics settings and found it consistently ran smoothly. I was particularly impressed with how well it handled large, open environments – there was no lag or stuttering, which is remarkable for a phone at this price point.
The GT triggers were really useful, particularly in longer battles, and they significantly improved the overall gaming experience. After getting used to them, using standard on-screen controls felt strange. Plus, the device manages heat exceptionally well while charging, so it never gets too hot or uncomfortable to hold, even when plugged in.
I’ve been really impressed with the battery life. It easily gets me through a full day of normal use, and even with heavy tasks like gaming and social media, there’s usually still some power left at the end of the day – a definite plus for the GT 30.
The camera is decent, while the phone does have some downsides
The camera is generally pretty good. Pictures look detailed and realistic in good light, with vibrant but natural colors. Highlights can sometimes be a little overexposed, but the main reason I’m not completely impressed is because my other phone takes noticeably better photos.
This phone isn’t designed for serious photography, but it’s great for everyday tasks. The front-facing camera is good for selfies and video chats, and videos look clear enough for sharing online.

Honestly, the charging time was the one thing that kinda bothered me. It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge from empty, which isn’t awful, but I expected a little faster charging for a phone that’s otherwise so powerful, especially since it’s marketed as a gaming phone. It felt a bit disappointing in that regard.
Call volume could be a little louder, particularly when it’s noisy. I also experienced occasional dropped calls, but I’m hopeful these will be resolved in future software updates. Otherwise, the phone performs well and the software feels more polished compared to previous Infinix models.
Final Verdict
If you’re looking for an affordable phone, this is a great option – it looks and feels more expensive than it actually is. Infinix clearly built this with gamers in mind, but it’s also excellent for everyday use.
This phone performs exceptionally well when gaming, and doesn’t overheat even during extended play. While there’s room for improvement, most issues can likely be addressed with software updates. Considering its price starting around $205 (INR 18,000), it offers excellent value for gamers.
