Infinity Nikki has issued a formal apology and acknowledged the issues with the Version 1.5 update

On December 5, 2024, Infinity Nikki – a dress-up adventure game and the fifth installment in the cherished Nikki series – officially launched, having previously undergone a global closed beta test on mobile and PC platforms. The game’s release sparked significant excitement, amassing approximately $15 million in revenue during its first month on sale.

Hello Fashion Expert,

Greetings from the Infinity Nikki Development Team! We truly appreciate your constant support and affection for Infinity Nikki. Regrettably, during the pre-release testing of Version 1.5, we failed to adequately prepare, which in turn caused unforeseen live problems that affected…

Supporters expressed frustration due to multiple technical glitches, login problems, alterations in the narrative, high monetization, among other issues. One fan lamented, “Nikki frequently gets stuck and I can’t make her perform any actions except jumping and dashing,” while another voiced similar concerns, “I’ve had to force quit the game countless times due to softlocks, game-breaking bugs, graphical errors, and various other problems.

Following several weeks of quietness and strong fan criticism, including numerous calls for boycotts, the Infinity Nikki Development Team has now stepped forward at X and issued a formal apology. They’ve admitted to their mistakes, attributing them primarily to “inadequate preparation” and “technical difficulties,” as the primary reasons behind this update mishap.

The team addressed all the concerns, and promises improvement, compensation, and more

The team has decided to postpone the release of Version 1.6, now scheduled for June 12. In addition, they’re extending the deadline for Version 1.5 to enhance its stability and avoid future related problems. However, exciting events such as “Chase the Bubbles” will carry on until the launch of Version 1.6.

The team additionally explained that the omission of the outfits and “The Threads of Reunion storyline’s exclusion in this version was never meant to be a deletion,” but rather delayed because of technical hurdles. Rest assured, they will return in upcoming updates as “these features are slated for future improvements.

It turns out that the cooperative weekly system won’t start until version 1.6. But don’t worry, you’ll get 360 Starlit Crystals as a make-up for this delay. Speaking of rewards, from June 5 to 12, 2025, you’re in line to receive a combined total of 960 Diamonds and 8 Energy Crystals – that’s quite a haul!

Moreover, the game has introduced a community program known as the “Miraland Round Table”. This allows you to communicate your thoughts and suggestions either through email or within the game itself.

They’ve pledged ongoing enhancements, improved functionality, and consistent performance across all devices, as well as new gameplay mechanics and additional features through a series of updates. Although it took some time, I’m pleased to see them tackling the problems and introducing innovative ideas that could regain everyone’s affection once more.
