Industry season 3 and more to stream on HBO and Max in August 2024
As a dedicated gamer and avid HBO Max subscriber, I’m thrilled to see that August 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting month for new content on the platform. After a rather lackluster July, it’s refreshing to have more diverse offerings coming our way!
In August 2024, HBO and Max provide an abundance of appealing content for their subscribers, making up for the less exciting offerings in July. There’s more than just sports programming on the horizon! Get ready for the much-anticipated third season of HBO’s “Industry,” as well as a new documentary. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss.
In plain terms, it’s important to acknowledge that not every show streaming on platforms like HBO/Max is worth your time. We understand this applies to all streaming services. Our goal is to assist you in making informed decisions by offering details such as storylines, cast members, previews, and more.
Based on my experience as a dedicated HBO subscriber and avid fan of their content, I’d be happy to share with you six highly anticipated releases that are set to grace our screens in August. These titles have piqued my interest for various reasons, ranging from the return of beloved series to the premiere of intriguing new productions. Let’s take a peek at what’s in store!
- Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes, Aug. 3
- Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears, Aug. 6
- Taken Together: Who Killed Lyric and Elizabeth?, Aug. 8
- Industry season 3, Aug. 11
- Chimp Crazy, Aug. 18
- City of God: The Fight Rages On, Aug. 25
Hey, we didn’t say nothing sports-related was coming, just that we have more options than we did in July, a month that was packed with sport documentaries. In August, we’ll have a little bit of everything. Here are more details about our top three picks.
Taken Together: Who Killed Lyric and Elizabeth?, Aug. 8
Starting August 1st, tune in to Max for “Taken Together: The Heart-Wrenching Story of Lyric and Elizabeth’s Murder.” On Aug. 8th, this three-part documentary will be available, shedding light on the chilling 2012 abduction of cousins Lyric Cook-Morrissey (10) and Elizabeth Collins (8) from Evansdale, Iowa. Tragically, their bodies were discovered seven months later. This heinous crime sent shockwaves through the community and nation as it garnered extensive media coverage.
An even more disheartening aspect is that the identities of their killers remain unknown. Indeed, the investigation persists, with no one yet held accountable (Des Moines Register reports over 100 tips concerning the case in the previous 10 months). With each new tip, clue, and piece of evidence, might we be nearing a resolution soon?
As a devoted gamer, I’m thrilled to share that starting August 8, I’ll have the exclusive opportunity to stream the entire three-episode series of “Taken Together: Who Killed Lyric and Elizabeth” right here on Max. Don’t miss out on this gripping mystery!
Industry season 3, Aug. 11
August is when HBO subscribers can look forward to the comeback of “Industry” with its third season starting Aug. 11. This new season consists of eight episodes in total, with the premiere episode debuting on Aug. 11, and a new episode released every week afterwards.
If you’ve never heard about “Industry” before, don’t miss out any longer! This captivating drama series focuses on a group of ambitious young bankers in London as they strive for coveted positions at the esteemed investment bank Pierpoint & Co. Each graduate is prepared to go to great lengths for a better office. I won’t reveal more if you intend to watch and get caught up before season 3. Instead, head over to Max and start streaming the first two seasons!
As a long-time fan of “Industry,” I’m thrilled to share my excitement about the upcoming season 3. Based on my deep engagement with the show and its captivating storyline, I can confidently say that this installment is going to be even more intriguing than the previous ones.
Chimp Crazy, Aug. 18
Owning a pet chimpanzee might appear adorable at first glance, but it’s actually a far cry from reality. Although there have been instances where this arrangement works out without any reported issues, is the risk truly worth taking? The HBO original documentary series, “Chimp Crazy,” sheds light on the unique connections between apes and their human caretakers, featuring animal broker Tonia Haddix, who refers to herself as the “Dolly Parton of chimps.”
The documentary series “Chimp Crazy,” which will be available starting August 18, aims to shed light on the dangers and challenges for individuals who keep apes as pets.
From this list, what will you be watching on HBO and Max in August? Did we leave anything out?
