Indian government to host esports event featuring BGMI, eFootball Mobile, and WCC3

The Government’s initiative to promote esports is not just a step forward, it’s a giant leap towards recognizing our passion for digital entertainment.
The Indian government is elevating esports to greater heights by supporting its growth. They recently unveiled the ‘Create in India Challenge’, which includes a variety of initiatives such as hosting an esports tournament. As part of this endeavor, popular games like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), eFootball Mobile, and World Cricket Championship 3 will be showcased in an esports event organized by the Esports Federation of India.
Create in India Challenge will feature a series of events including esports
The ‘Create in India Challenge’ is going to exhibit various challenges. These include Anime Challenges, Animation Film Makers Competition, a Game Jam, an Esports Tournament, City Quest, and more. Specifically, the Esports Tournament will feature three popular Indian video game titles.
A preliminary competition leading up to the grand final is scheduled in Goa, India. It’s broken down into four stages, with the first one starting on September 1st, 2024. Registration for these stages will happen on four separate dates: August 23rd, September 1st and 18th, as well as October 4th. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule:

In both competitions, there will be one-versus-one battles taking place. During each round, 15 contestants will advance, amounting to a pool of 60 qualifiers. Subsequently, four players from other nations will also participate, resulting in a grand total of 64 competitors battling it out in the event.
BGMI
As a passionate gamer in India, I can’t wait for the adored Battle Royale tournament that’s coming up! After the exciting series of BGMI events, we’ll have 16 teams qualifying to join the Grand Finals in Goa. Three teams from each phase are lucky enough to make it, and there will be an additional 4 specially invited teams, making a total of 16 teams battling it out!
The current generation of India is highly motivated by digital entertainment
