With a rich history and a reputation as South Asia’s largest and oldest conference, it’s no wonder that IGDC has become a must-attend event for gaming aficionados like myself.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming 16th annual India Game Developer Conference (IGDC)! This grand event kicks off on November 13th, 2024, in the vibrant city of Hyderabad. Renowned as South Asia’s most significant and longest-running conference, it spans an exhilarating three days before wrapping up on the 15th of November. With over 5,000 attendees and more than 250 speakers expected, I can hardly wait to be part of this remarkable gathering!

IGDC 2024 will be hosting over 150+ sessions, 40 indie developers and hundreds of booths

More than 150 sessions are planned for this impressive spectacle, featuring respected speakers such as Jordan Weisman, Tim Morten, Bryce Johnson, and Jaeho Hwang. These industry veterans will be imparting their insights during the event. The eagerly awaited IGDC Awards Night is set to unveil a fresh International Game Award this year, with the award ceremony slated for November 14, 2024.

The upcoming event promises an impressive variety of activities, featuring around one hundred stalls, workshops, panel discussions on policy matters, and much more. This expo will feature Indie Developers, board games, gaming booths, and businesses related to the gaming industry. At the expo, approximately 40 indie developers will display their creations, with a lucky 20 of them receiving complimentary stalls courtesy of Microsoft’s Xbox division.

Mr. Sridhar Muppidi, President of the GDAI, expressed his joy over India’s rapid market expansion as one of the world’s fastest-growing sectors. He continued by stating: “The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) is an ideal setting for this vibrant community, where top executives, creators, and pioneers gather to exchange ideas, provide expertise, and influence the direction of gaming in India and globally.”

2024’s IGDC (India Game Developer Conference) is set to include a special event called the “Investor-Publisher Connect,” which is likely to draw more than 100 investors and publishers. This unique session offers an opportunity for potential business deals and collaborations. Furthermore, the conference will debut the “Young Indie Scholarship Program,” designed to assist 25 young game developers in 2024 by providing them with tickets, accommodation, and mentorship.
