This year marks the 16th iteration of the India Game Developer Conference (IDGC), scheduled to take place in Hyderabad starting on November 13th, 2024. Renowned as South Asia’s largest and longest-running conference, the event will span across three days, concluding on the 15th of November. With a projected attendance of more than 5,000 individuals and over 250 speakers, this conference is set to be an exciting gathering for the gaming community.

IDGC 2024 will be hosting over 150+ sessions, 40 indie developers and hundreds of booths

Approximately 150 or more sessions are planned for this impressive spectacle, featuring an array of distinguished speakers. Notable figures such as Jordan Weisman, Tim Morten, Bryce Johnson, and Jaeho Hwang will offer their insights during the event. The much-anticipated IGDC Awards Night is set to unveil a fresh International Game Award this year, with the ceremony taking place on November 14, 2024.

At this upcoming event, you’ll find over a hundred exhibits including workshops, policy discussions, and more. This Expo will feature Indie Developers, board games, gaming companies, and related businesses. The showcase will highlight an array of talents, with 40 independent developers presenting their creations, and 20 of them receiving free booths courtesy of Microsoft’s Xbox division.

Mr. Sridhar Muppidi, President of GDAI, expressed joy over India’s rapid market expansion on a global scale. He continued by stating: “The India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) offers an ideal setting for this dynamic community, where key players, creators, and pioneers gather to exchange ideas, provide knowledge, and mold the destiny of gaming in India and beyond.”

2024’s IDGC event will include a special “Investor-Publisher Networking” segment, drawing in more than 100 investors and publishers. This event offers an opportunity for possible business transactions and partnerships. Furthermore, the conference will debut the “Emerging Indie Scholarship Program,” designed to help 25 young game developers this year by providing them with tickets, lodging, and mentorship.
