Pamela Warner, Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s mother from “The Cosby Show,” spoke up after a long silence following his unexpected passing in July. She expressed her feelings beyond grief and provided solace to his admirers.

Warner, the esteemed actor and musician, established an Instagram account to honor his son’s memory. On a recent Friday, he shared a thoughtful and detailed message, assuring everyone that his beloved son “found tranquility” and most importantly, he didn’t endure any suffering. Sadly, Warner, who was widely recognized for his portrayal of Theodore Huxtable, passed away while swimming in the Caribbean waters near Costa Rica at the age of 54.

As I pondered over my son’s remarkable journey in television, music, and personal life, I couldn’t help but marvel at the kind, loving soul he was, with an immeasurable heart for humanity. He was not just an exceptional actor, but an extraordinary family man as well. Besides his devoted mother, he leaves behind his cherished wife and daughter.

As I sat there, engulfed in sorrow over losing my “mentor, guide, confidant, partner in business, and dearest friend,” a wave of memories washed over me – memories of the day I brought him into this world, more than half a century ago. I can’t help but feel truly blessed that he chose me to be his mother, to be born from the nurturing waters of my womb. Reflecting on his passing now, it feels like a full circle has been completed – a poignant reminder of our profound bond.

According to her writing, Malcolm entered the world and exited it through water. Essentially, he began and ended his life in water’s embrace. It seems this was his appointed time, for his earthly purpose had come to an end.
