Rick Springfield and Sammy Hagar might seem like an unlikely duo, but they actually have a lot in common. Both artists are passionate about performing rock music and continuing their careers as long as fans enjoy it. While Springfield is known for one particularly huge hit, Hagar has a broader catalog of successful songs. It could be a really enjoyable collaboration.

If that sounds good to you, the duo is planning a limited number of shows in 2026. Tickets will likely sell fast, so start making plans if you’re interested! Unfortunately, these shows won’t be held in the Southern states or on the West Coast.

Perhaps you’d enjoy a pre-summer getaway to a place like Indiana or Michigan, or even New Jersey or Massachusetts. You have plenty of great options to choose from, of course.

Sammy Hagar and Rick Springfield hit the road together for a limited time in 2026

It’s possible the two singers will switch things up and perform each other’s hits. Perhaps Hagar will sing “Jessie’s Girl,” while Springfield tackles some Van Halen songs—or even “I Can’t Drive 55.” Whatever happens, giving the fans what they want could be a lot of fun.

It’s interesting to think that Rick Springfield might have been a better musician than people generally remember from the 80s, while Sammy Hagar has probably always gotten more credit than he deserves. Hagar’s a decent singer, but he doesn’t have the same captivating stage presence as David Lee Roth, either now or in the past.

Springfield actually might have been a good lead singer for Van Halen. It would have been interesting to hear the band play his lesser-known song, “Human Touch.”

Hagar will be performing two shows on June 26th and 27th at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, without the band Springfield. It’s going to be warm, but fans are sure to be energetic and sing along!
