I’m Prioritizing Careers Over Baby for Now
According to Olivia Attwood, her and her husband Bradley Dack have decided to focus on their careers for now instead of starting a family immediately.
In June 2023, the previous contestant from Love Island, aged 33, got married to footballer Bradley, who is 31 years old, in a grand wedding held at the luxurious Bulgari hotel in Knightsbridge.
Since then, as Bradley persisted in his football, Olivia’s professional journey flourished, encompassing her TV series, podcast, and regular stints on Loose Women.
In a recent interview, Olivia shared that currently, their lives are leaning more toward work, as they both are devoted to chasing their aspirations and maintaining their relationship.
Nevertheless, she firmly believes that when the moment arrives for her to become a mother, she will undoubtedly prioritize being more mindful and fully engaged.
Speaking candidly to Daily Mail about her future aspirations, Olivia expressed: ‘Currently, Bradley and I find ourselves at a stage where we’re both heavily invested in our careers and relationships. We’re pursuing our dreams and ambitions individually, and the time we share together holds immense value.’
In the course of our lives, various stages will unfold. For instance, if we were to start a family, it would become second nature for both of us to be more actively involved.
Regarding the concept of motherhood, she stated: “I don’t view it as something to be afraid of. Instead, I feel like I have about a year before the deadline, but I believe it’s possible to coexist in both realms. For now, we’re content with what we have.
Weeks have passed since Olivia put an end to repeated queries about starting a family, as she made clear in a firm statement on her Instagram post.
The TV host and celebrity, when asked about children, playfully advised her audience to appreciate the “busywork beaver, alcohol-consuming rodent” for now.
Olivia expressed her gratitude for the enthusiasm and affection her fans show towards learning about her upcoming plans, but also voiced her annoyance at being asked so frequently about them.
Olivia is widely recognized not just for her time on Love Island in 2017, but also for her numerous TV shows on ITV, her So Wrong, It’s Right podcast, and her frequent appearances on the talk show Loose Women.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I, personally, am dedicated to pouring all my energy into my professional endeavors and cherishing my marital bond with my husband, Bradley Dack, at this point in time. Starting a family is something we’ll consider when the moment feels right for us.
After the Q&A session, Olivia mentioned: “That baby question really caught me off guard, and while some folks suggested I disregard the opinion of the single unusual individual, I’d like to clarify…” (or simply, “Following the Q&A, Olivia explained that a particular query took her by surprise. Although some people suggested ignoring the viewpoint of one peculiar person, she wanted to provide some context…”)
If I create a question box with 500 queries, approximately 100 of them might pertain to babies. Let me clarify that for you in the future by recording it. However, here’s my two cents on this topic…
She mentioned, “As for myself, personally, I don’t find this offensive. A significant aspect of my work and its achievements lies in connecting with you all.
I also open up about some of my most intimate experiences – like my wedding, my house, my loved ones – across various platforms such as TV shows, podcasts, and Instagram.
You’re right there with me, and that means I understand! You’re thrilled about the upcoming phase of my life, eager to know when it begins, and I appreciate that sentiment from you. Nevertheless, let me clarify…
Here’s a more engaging and positive rephrase for the given sentence:
“Things are incredibly exciting at the moment! I find myself accomplishing feats that seemed unimaginable, even to me!
I’m not experiencing any emotional turmoil about motherhood as it’s not a desire I’ve harbored. Instead, my affection and dedication are entirely focused on my profession, my spouse, and achieving success together. [Laughing emoji]
Instead of letting it slide, that question seems to glide past me effortlessly – but for numerous women, this isn’t the case at all! Consequently, it becomes crucial that we approach such topics with greater sensitivity and care.
Expressing it in a more refined and inclusive manner: ‘Giving birth to humans is undeniably an incredible accomplishment, and I hold immense admiration for mothers. However, motherhood is not the sole purpose or definition of womanhood. Women possess countless talents and capabilities beyond childbearing, and they have the potential to achieve great things in various fields today!
In my current role as a mother, I wish I had stopped Brad earlier. So, savor the wild, workaholic, binge-drinking individual while you still can. Farewell, and love to you.
