I’m Obsessed With Hallmark’s A Keller Christmas Vacation, And The Internet Had The Best Take

It’s officially my favorite time of year! The weather is cooling down, Christmas lights are appearing everywhere, and there are plenty of heartwarming holiday movies on Hallmark. Even though Christmas is still over a month away, some of the movies released so far this year are already standouts. I especially love A Keller Christmas Vacation, and it seems like a lot of other people online agree!

Why I Love A Keller Christmas Vacation

The new holiday movie, A Keller Christmas Vacation, brings together Brandon Routh, Jonathan Bennett, and Eden Sher as siblings returning home for the holidays. The cast – featuring actors known for playing Superman, Aaron Samuels, and Sue Heck – quickly got fans talking when it premiered in 2025.

This movie was enjoyable for many reasons, not just one. It’s often difficult to make a movie with a large cast work well, but A Keller Family Christmas did it seamlessly. I especially liked the charming romance between Cal (Routh) and his new love interest, the challenges Dylan (Bennett) faced with his boyfriend’s secret, and the possibility of Emory (Sher) finding love while searching for a job.

The story of Helen Keller’s parents is heartwarming, and the whole movie manages to fit it all into a two-hour timeslot—commercials included—without feeling rushed. It has that classic, feel-good Hallmark ending that leaves you satisfied. I loved it so much it instantly became a favorite for rewatching during the Countdown to Christmas, and I’m eager to see what other viewers thought!

Fans Want Keller Vacations To Become A Series

Hallmark has been creating more movie series recently, such as the Holiday Touchdown films featuring the NFL and Lacey Chabert’s Haul Out the Holly trilogy. A fan on X (formerly Twitter) noted that Jonathan Bennett, Brandon Routh, and Eden Sher have great on-screen chemistry and should star in more movies together.

I really enjoyed ‘A Keller Christmas Vacation’ – it even made me tear up! I hope Hallmark considers making it an annual tradition, similar to how they supported the ‘Three Wise Men and a Baby’ series.

I’d enjoy seeing more movies about the Kellers, whether they’re taking family trips for holidays or just dealing with everyday life at home.

One social media user shared that her family found Jonathan Bennett’s portrayal of Dylan getting hilariously drunk – especially when he joined a local dance – absolutely uproarious. You can read her complete review here:

This Hallmark fan also threw support behind more Keller family fun, saying:

I really hope this gets turned into a yearly series, maybe even one focused on a family. It’s the kind of story people would enjoy revisiting each year.

I’m totally on board with a reunion, and it sounds like the cast is too! I read that Eden Sher from The Middle was joking about everyone going to Australia for Easter, and Jonathan Bennett – you know, from Mean Girls – actually said he’d be thrilled to get the Keller family back together. It’s really encouraging to hear that kind of enthusiasm!

I believe Brandon, Eden, and I have a special creative chemistry, and it would be a missed opportunity not to explore that further. I envision us becoming the next iconic, fun-loving family like the Griswolds, but within the Hallmark universe.

Just let me know how to finalize things! If you missed A Keller Christmas Vacation, grab your favorite cozy drink and watch it when it reruns at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, November 15th, on Hallmark. It will probably be shown again over the next few months, or you can stream it on Hallmark+.
