I’m Miley Cyrus’s REAL mother: Woman at center of bombshell ‘adoption’ lawsuit breaks silence about ‘pregnancy at age 12’ and makes MORE wild claims

An old photo captures a cheerful young girl exiting a small red and white airplane, with her beaming grandparents watching.

From a distance, the family looked like any other happy American family, except for one odd thing: the girl was wearing a coat that didn’t quite hide her obvious baby bump.

Jayme Lee explains this is due to the fact she was pregnant then, and believes her child is the famous singer Miley Cyrus.

Lee, now 45, is sharing her story publicly for the first time in an interview with the Daily Mail. She strongly believes what she says is true, despite some people dismissing it as the product of an overactive imagination.

Lee has been pursuing a somewhat unrealistic goal: to legally establish that she is Miley Cyrus’s biological mother. So far, she’s filed several lawsuits in both federal and state courts, but two have already been dismissed – one in Tennessee state court and another in California federal court.

A Tennessee judge ruled on Wednesday that Leticia ‘Tish’ Cyrus must pay Billy Ray Cyrus approximately $7,500 to cover his legal costs.

Lee isn’t giving up. She plans to file a new lawsuit in Malibu, where the 33-year-old former Disney star resides, seeking a court order for a DNA test to definitively resolve the issue.

I’m absolutely heartbroken to hear Lee share this, but it’s incredibly important. He explained to the Daily Mail that he never wanted to bring Miley into this, but she holds the key – she’s the proof he needs to show what happened to him. He says he was a victim of sex trafficking, and that it resulted in him having a child. It’s a devastating situation, and he feels he needs to use this evidence to finally expose the truth.

Lee is a speech therapist and mother of three – two sons and a daughter. She currently lives in Peoria, Arizona, and is divorced.

Her life began in Ruidoso, New Mexico, a small mountain town of around 7,600 residents. She was born Jayme Lee Paxton, but she no longer uses her last name.

Lee described a childhood that, instead of being happy and peaceful, became terrifying when she was forced into sex trafficking by local gangs connected to cartels, starting at a young age.

She shared that she became pregnant at age 12. She attempted to escape her situation multiple times, even going to her grandparents’ home in the small mountain town of Jamul, California, near San Diego.

‘I knew that I wanted to protect this baby at all costs,’ Lee told the Daily Mail.

I chose the name Miley immediately after finding out I was pregnant, as a way to acknowledge the many miles I was forced to travel during my experience with sex trafficking.

‘I wanted a name that was one of a kind that could be linked back to me, specifically.’

Let me share a little backstory on Miley Cyrus’s name! While you might know her as Miley, she was actually born Destiny Hope Cyrus. It’s a detail that sometimes gets missed. She’s talked about it herself, explaining that her parents nicknamed her ‘Smiley’ when she was a baby because she was always so cheerful. Eventually, ‘Smiley’ just naturally shortened to ‘Miley,’ and it stuck! It’s a sweet story about how a happy little girl got her famous nickname.

This is where Lee’s story takes an unexpected turn: she started reaching out to celebrities, hoping one of them would adopt her child.

I was absolutely stunned to hear who all was supposedly at this gathering! Apparently, Julia Roberts, who has a ranch out in New Mexico, was there. And it wasn’t just celebrities – Ozzy and Sharon Osborne were also reportedly present; Ozzy had a lot of business dealings in the state, so it made sense. To top it all off, Hillary Clinton was even campaigning in New Mexico around the same time, so she was there too, according to Lee.

Lee says people were nice to her when she approached them about adopting her baby, but she doesn’t clearly explain why no one reported the fact that she was a 12-year-old pregnant girl to the police or child protection services.

Lee explained to the Daily Mail that he’d been pretending to be fourteen years old. He said his braces actually helped him look older than he was.

I didn’t let them react much, if at all. I probably even asked them not to call the police beforehand, because I had run away from home and didn’t want to be forced to return to my family.

After being rejected by four potential adoptive parents, she decided to ask Dolly Parton – someone she admired – to adopt her baby instead.

Lee explained that her grandfather, George, willingly drove her across the country to Tennessee. There, after a Dolly Parton concert at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, they met her. He hadn’t contacted the police or any adoption agencies, according to Lee.

Lee said Dolly Parton was very kind and understanding, and surprisingly didn’t involve the police, even though a pregnant young woman had come to her.

However, Lee claimed that Dolly, though not interested in adoption herself, knew someone who was: Billy Ray Cyrus, who had recently become famous with his 1992 hit song, “Achy Breaky Heart.”

The Daily Mail has asked Sharon Osbourne, Hillary Clinton, Julia Roberts, and Dolly Parton for their reactions to the story.

Billy Ray Cyrus has refuted Lee’s claims regarding Miley’s biological parents. Following the dismissal of the case in Tennessee last week, he described the story as ‘false and absurd.’ He also pointed out that Tennessee law requires a court order for any adoption to be legally valid.

Miley has long been reported to have been born and raised in Tennessee.

However, Lee claims the supposed ‘private adoption’ actually happened in California. She says she gave birth to Miley by herself in Ocean Beach and then handed the baby over to Billy Ray and Tish at a rented house in the upscale San Diego area of Encinitas.

She stated that Billy Ray changed his mind about their agreement – which was for an open adoption – and she hasn’t seen him or Miley ever since.

In a strange turn of events, she claims she then reached out to the Kardashian family for assistance, hoping they could connect her with a lawyer, as she told the Daily Mail. She stated she met them because they were neighbors to her grandparents in Jamul, but there’s no proof the Kardashians ever owned property in that area.

Despite all of this, the California lawsuit also named every member of the family. Kim, who was twelve at the time, was accused of causing a car accident that led to Lee being sent back to live with her parents in New Mexico.

Lee explained that the trauma she experienced caused her to lose memories of being trafficked and even of having a child. However, returning to Ruidoso brought those memories flooding back.

Because of these experiences, she sought help in 2016 at a mental health facility connected to Arizona State University in Tucson, and was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

‘I spent the night, and I said, I need to talk to a doctor.

I described what I was experiencing to the doctor. I’m now recalling a traumatic event – a rape – and that I later gave birth to a child. These memories are just surfacing now.

He explained that experiencing memory gaps is a common symptom of PTSD. He assured me it’s a normal response where the brain sometimes blocks out traumatic events, and that’s likely what was happening to me.

She tried reaching out to Miley through her lawyer at that point, but didn’t receive a response.

I just can’t believe what she went through! After everything he did, she was so brave to try and report it to the police, desperately hoping someone would finally listen and help her get justice. But they just dismissed her, department after department! It’s awful, but it gets worse – they actually put her in a psychiatric hold for 72 hours! Can you imagine? She was the victim, and they treated her like she was the one with the problem. It’s absolutely sickening, and I’m just so angry for her.

As a long-time follower of this case, I was really struck by Lee’s statement to the Daily Mail. Essentially, they’re saying they contacted the police because a crime actually happened – it’s at the core of everything, and they needed it investigated.

I was attempting to find a law enforcement officer who could investigate the matter, as many of the places where these crimes happened don’t have time limits for pursuing legal action.

I just couldn’t convince anyone to believe me, and honestly, trying to get them to listen caused me a lot of problems.

Lee recently sued five police departments, including those in Ruidoso, San Diego, and Nashville, in federal court in Arizona, claiming they discriminated against him.

She’s hoping Miley will be understanding and agree to a DNA test. If the test confirms they’re related, she’d like to develop a relationship with her.

I’d like Miley to take a DNA test so we can prove I’m her biological mother. While I know I’m her biological mom, that doesn’t automatically make me her mother. I’m not her mom.

I’m not trying to own any of those experiences, and I definitely don’t want to diminish the relationship she has with Tish. I only want the best – happiness, goodness, and purity – for her.

Lee hopes sharing her story—which she admits might seem unbelievable—will help others struggling with PTSD understand and cope with their own experiences, especially given the possibility of having connected with Miley.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this story closely, and it’s understandably unsettling. What’s really important here, and something we can all learn from, is the incredible capacity of the human mind. This case highlights that even deeply traumatic experiences, like assault and childbirth, can be blocked from conscious memory and then resurface later. It’s a powerful reminder of how complex our brains are and the ways trauma can be processed – or not processed – over time.

‘It happens, it can happen, it does happen. If it’s happening to you, you’re not alone.’

She acknowledged that many would find the story unbelievable, saying, “It really is quite incredible.”

‘The truth is crazy sometimes. I didn’t choose it.’
