I’m A Celeb’s Scarlett Moffatt takes a swipe at the all-male final with a cheeky joke after narrowly missing out

Scarlett Moffatt playfully joked about the all-male final of I’m A Celebrity, after just missing out on being a contestant herself.

Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr., age 35, was voted off the show on Thursday after finishing last in a challenge. That leaves Mo Farah, Harry Redknapp, Adam Thomas, and Craig Charles as the remaining contestants competing for the public’s vote to become the ‘Legend’.

Scarlett arrived at the studio and joined the other contestants for the 2026 season as they awaited the results.

While talking to Ant and Dec about the finalists, she joked that it would be good to have some female energy present.

Scarlett was very upset to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity. She came in last place during the ‘Keep Your Eye on the Ball’ challenge, which meant she left the show before the final – leaving only male contestants remaining.

He unexpectedly pulled out, explaining he was disappointed to see only four men remaining. He’d hoped to represent the women and wanted them to have their space to talk about football.

People went to X to express their disappointment with the show’s format, arguing that different celebrities should have made it to the final four.

They wrote: ‘Raging for Scarlett as she comes across as a genuine person and was fun in camp’;

I really don’t like how the show is structured this season. The challenges have been incredibly difficult, and some deserving contestants were eliminated too early. It’s been a very up-and-down experience.

ITV, the new All Stars South Africa format isn’t working. Please let viewers vote throughout the show like we’re used to. Having the decisions based solely on trial results isn’t ideal.

‘I wanted Scarlett to win!’

During the challenge, the celebrities were isolated in separate booths while watching balls of three different colors move through transparent tubes. They needed to keep track of how many of each color appeared, all while dealing with annoying interruptions.

Scarlett started crying when Ant and Dec told her she was the furthest off the correct answer and had to leave the show right away.

The TV star, who won the show in 2016, said her current experience in South Africa reminded her of when she first appeared on it.

She admitted to feeling like a fraud in the past. At twenty-five, she was still figuring out her identity and where she belonged. While she appreciated the experience, she often felt overwhelmed by it all.

‘Whereas this time around, I know who I am so I just enjoyed it and went in there less intimidated.

What I’ll miss most are the conversations around the campfire. There’s so much time to just talk and think without any distractions.

Mo Farah is a truly inspiring person. I was deeply impressed by his kindness and forgiveness, and he’s really helped me to grow as an individual.

Scarlett explained that things went more smoothly this time because everyone brought their unique personalities and they were all more comfortable. Having experienced it before, the group felt relaxed and weren’t stressed about the basics of camp life.

Scarlett said she wanted Mo to be crowned Legend in the live final, set to air on Friday night.

Even if I had reached the final round, I would have told everyone that Mo deserved their vote instead of mine.

‘Nobody deserves it as much as him. I really do hope he wins.’

Ant and Dec announced that all the contestants from I’m A Celebrity will come together for the live finale on Friday. However, Beverley Callard has stated she won’t be able to make it due to health reasons.
