I’m A Celeb’s GK Barry deletes controversial clips from her podcast following backlash over guest – as she gears up to enter the jungle
As I delve into the captivating journey of Grace Kelling, also known as GK Barry, it’s evident that her meteoric rise to fame is nothing short of extraordinary. From humble beginnings during the first Covid-19 lockdown, when she started a TikTok account to share her daily life, to amassing an impressive following across various social media platforms, Grace has truly captured the hearts of millions.
Podcaster GK Barry has decided not to release certain promotional snippets from a recent interview featuring a contentious interviewee, prior to her appearance on “I’m A Celebrity.
25-year-old internet personality has gained recognition by inviting household names such as Alan Carr, Olivia Bowen, Rylan Clark-Neal, Rob Rinder, and Coleen Nolan onto her talk show called “Saving Grace.
Grace Keeling, more famously known as “The Star,” has recently been accompanied by Bonnie Blue, a figure who’s garnered attention due to her daring attempt to meet with 100 different men in a single day. This bold endeavor of hers caused quite a stir in the media.
There’s been a lot of negative feedback about the selected guest and subject matter, causing a strong reaction, and it seems that fanatical viewers have just spotted that GK has taken down the advertisements for this episode from both Instagram and TikTok.
As a lifestyle enthusiast dipping my toes into the Loose Women crew, I’ve chosen not to upload the entire episode on my YouTube channel just yet.
TopMob has contacted GK’s representatives for a comment.
In simpler terms, it was criticized that GK chose less satisfying content, and some viewers noticed that she often agrees with her guests instead of expressing different opinions or viewpoints.
Critics questioned her actions, claiming she was a negative role model for young girls, and they expressed surprise and dismay following her recent interview.
Some wrote below her YouTube clip:
‘This needs to be taken down. This is absolutely grim’;
‘Grace has a tendency to always side with her guests, never expressing disagreement or offering counterpoints. This approach can be beneficial in certain interview situations, but it becomes problematic when she agrees with outlandish views that are not only unreasonable but also irresponsible. Such discussions would be more fitting for incel-focused podcasts.’
Somewhat disappointed that Grace seems to alter her opinions and agree with her, instead of holding firm to her beliefs independently.
Grace seems to share your sentiments when discussing the subject of husbands being unfaithful. Truly, it’s incredibly disheartening!
It seems to me that this video might significantly impact Grace’s professional journey, as well as influence young girls. Therefore, it should be removed.
Supporters flooded the platform that was once known as Twitter with remarks concerning GK’s debatable interview before her time in the jungle. One user even encouraged:
It seems that there’s not enough attention being paid to the Bonnie Blue and GK Barry situation. Given that their audience consists mainly of 13-20 year old girls, who are still developing and easily influenced, this is a matter of concern. The messages they are receiving should be positive and empowering. Therefore, it might be necessary to consider removing their platforms as a means to protect the young audience from potentially harmful content.
The influential figure on social media is rumored to follow in the footsteps of Coleen Rooney, Maura Higgins, and Danny Jones by venturing into the Australian wilderness as the ITV series makes its comeback this month.
In August, it emerged that podcast host GK was engaged in significant discussions about joining the cast of I’m A Celebrity.
Initially, I was thrilled at the prospect of seeing GK grace the stage on Strictly Come Dancing. However, after careful consideration, I decided to decline the opportunity due to the ongoing controversy surrounding the show.
Known more commonly as GK Barry, Grace Eleanor Keeling is a popular figure on social media platforms, television hosting, and the digital realm, who gained widespread recognition during the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns in England.
During the lockdown period, while she was pursuing her film studies at Nottingham Trent University, GK launched her TikTok account and started sharing videos about her everyday experiences.
In just a short time, she quickly attracted a massive audience, and after only a year, she boasted an impressive 1 million followers on her video-hosting site.
Currently, her social media presence is quite substantial. She boasts an impressive 3.6 million followers on TikTok, 61,000 subscribers on YouTube, and a significant 850,000 fans on Instagram.
Originating from Cambridge, Grace subsequently launched her own podcast titled “Saving Grace” in the month of April 2022. She’s had conversations with many popular figures such as Coleen Nolan, Olivia Bowen, and Alan Carr.
In early 2024, GK embarked on a nationwide tour, where the podcast was performed live and later uploaded as videos on YouTube. The tour was completely sold out.
After garnering internet fame, GK has featured on several television shows, and this year, became a recurring panelist on Loose Women – also becoming the youngest person ever to appear on that particular show.
