I’m A Celebrity 2025 Salaries Leaked: Dave Hughes Takes Home $250K While Others Struggle

In 2025, a fresh batch of celebrities will be departing for South Africa as part of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, where they’ll face challenges in the wilderness to prove their resilience.

Each year’s group of 12 well-known individuals accumulate a considerable amount of money as they endure tough jungle living conditions, and now their earnings for this season have been disclosed.

Contrarily, it is reported that this cast of Network 10’s show is remarkably low-priced compared to past seasons, as their earnings significantly differ from earlier years.

As reported by Yahoo! Lifestyle, Dave Hughes stands as the highest-earning cast member from the 2025 series, pocketing an impressive $250,000 through a profitable agreement.

Although the cost may appear substantial, it pales in comparison to the earnings of past years, as Shane Warne allegedly made a staggering $2 million in 2015, which is a significant difference.

Compared to his fellow celebrities on the show, it’s generally believed that Dave earns significantly more, with their reported earnings ranging from a minimum of $175,000 to a maximum of $35,000.

Matty ‘J’ Johnson, Sam Thaiday, and Shayna Jack are reportedly given two-week contracts valued between $100,000 and $175,000, with the potential to earn an additional $5,000 for every extra day they extend their stay on the show.

It’s said that social media sensation Max Balegde and reality TV personality Reggie Bird from Big Brother Australia are allegedly earning around $100,000 each, midway through their respective income brackets.

According to reports, reality TV personalities Samantha Moitzi (from Married at First Sight) and Tina Provis (Love Island contestant) are believed to have earned contracts worth around $35,000 to $60,000 – a significant drop compared to earnings from past years.

A source commented on the low wages, saying, “The earnings in free-to-air television are a fraction of what they once were.

2025’s star-studded lineup also features soccer player Zach Tuohy, stand-up comic Geraldine Hickey, and television personality Nicky Buckley alongside others.

Network 10 declined to comment when approached by Daily Mail Australia.

The debut of I’m A Celebrity Australia was filled with dramatic moments on Sunday evening, and there’s already been criticism from viewers regarding one particular challenge.

On Tuesday, I found myself stepping out onto a perilously thin beam, suspended 95 metres above treacherous crocodile-infested waters, with the challenge of sinking a basketball into a hoop.

Following multiple attempts by celebrities to toss the ball into the distant hoop without success, spectators swiftly turned to social media to label the challenge as ‘unachievable’.

26-year-old TikTok sensation Max from Britain felt deeply disheartened when he couldn’t accomplish the task set for his fellow camp mates. Matty J concurred, expressing that Max appeared to be ‘deeply saddened’.

In response to what they deemed “absurd,” a viewer expressed frustration on social platforms: “The game alone makes me want to quit watching the program.

One person commented: ‘This contest was clearly rigged! It would be fascinating to observe the test videos of those who were testing it, managing to complete it numerous times, not just in the yellow or green zones, but even using flippers!’

Another frustrated spectator commented, “How absurd! It seems they didn’t test enough. It’s almost as if the game was purposely set up for them to stumble.

Wow, this task was just too absurd and unattainable! Forget about testing, it’s a joke! Not even the great Michael Jordan could pull this off,” someone quipped humorously.

Another added: ‘This challenge is ridiculous! This is way too hard! Not funny!’
