Oh, Tulisa Contostavlos! A true survivor, my dear! After all she’s been through – from the glittering heights of X Factor fame to the darkest depths of entrapment by that notorious “Fake Sheikh”, Mazher Mahmood. And yet, here she stands, ready to face another challenge in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

For over ten years, she stayed away from public attention following an undercover drug operation conducted by the notorious Fake Sheikh, an incident that nearly led her to contemplate suicide.

Currently, Tulisa Contostavlos, aged 36, is set to return to TV screens as she joins the cast of this year’s I’m A Celebrity. She commented: “Nothing is more disheartening in that jungle than what transpired in 2013.

Mazher Mahmood, often referred to as the “Fake Sheik,” who used to work for The Sun on Sunday newspaper, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for manipulating justice proceedings. He deceived Tulisa into purchasing cocaine on his behalf while posing as a movie producer.

After she publicly justified herself and criticized the “terrible deception” by Mahmood at Southwark Crown Court in 2014, Tulisa generally avoided public attention, with only a brief exception being her participation in an N-Dubz tour in 2022.

Discussing her upcoming stint in the I’m a Celebrity jungle on Sunday, she expressed: “Whenever I consider, ‘This is going to be tough,’ I remind myself, ‘I’ve already faced challenges, so I can handle this.’

Later, I found myself right at it, and truth be told, appearing on TV once more feels like an extremely awkward predicament I’d rather avoid.

For the last eleven years, it seems as though I’ve been going through a recurring process of healing, starting from the turbulent times following X Factor, the trial, and everything that came before.

For my part, achieving this would round off the journey since it represents the final item on my list – a persistent anxiety I used to harbor, though not presently, primarily about appearing on television.

In May 2013, charges were filed against Mahmood, as a result of allegations that Tulisa had organized for him to be supplied with £800 worth of cocaine by one of her associates, as part of an undercover operation conducted by the Sun on Sunday newspaper.

At the Metropolitan Hotel in London, Mahmood disguised himself as a movie producer and offered alcohol to the popular singer during their conversation about sharing an acting part with the renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

While driving the ex-X Factor judge back to Hertfordshire, it’s claimed that she discussed a family member who struggled with substance abuse issues.

For the next decade, Tulisa experienced a living nightmare, as her bright future was significantly tarnished by the painful consequences of the scandal.

Speaking about the ordeal, the I Need You singer said: ‘Honestly, I can’t tell you.

Absolutely, there have been some difficult periods over the last decade for me, yet my current outlook is different. Now, I view those experiences as a form of knowledge gained instead.

Absolutely, there have been challenging periods over the last decade, yet my current outlook is different. Now, I view those experiences more as sources of learning rather than negative events.

‘Knowledge Is power and ultimately a blessing because I wouldn’t be where I am without it, I wouldn’t change a thing.

It seems like you were only capable of accomplishing this task because you were feeling so profoundly at peace. In other words, it wasn’t possible for me to do it earlier; it had to be at this moment in time.

As a passionate admirer, I can proudly share that the artist has openly acknowledged her participation in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! This decision, she explained, stems from her newfound ‘live life to the fullest’ phase, as evidenced by her recent daring photoshoot for FAULT magazine, which was unveiled on a Wednesday.

Previously a member of N-Dubz, she created quite a stir for the magazine by donning a revealing red leotard and going without a bra underneath her denim ensemble.

Tulisa has flown down under ahead of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” which kicks off this coming Sunday evening. She’ll be joined by well-known names such as Oti Mabuse, Coleen Rooney, and Jane Moore for the 2021 series.

Before her departure this year, she explained her decision for enrolling: “I had never desired to, and there was a time when I thought, ‘I could never, ever participate in this.’

As an enthusiast who can’t hide their passion, let me express it this way: “However, we’re all on a continuous journey of transformation and growth. Recently, I found myself at a crossroads in life, embracing what some might call my ‘take-the-leap’ phase. I began to ponder, ‘Is this pushing me out of my comfort zone?’ Absolutely. ‘Does it ignite a sense of thrill and anticipation?’ Without a doubt.

Are you planning an exhilarating, roller-coaster adventure? Absolutely, go for it! The apprehensions that might come with it, I simply shrug off and say, “Who cares! Just relax and enjoy the ride.

Elsewhere in the interview she spoke about how she has coped with fame over the years.

She expressed: “I realize I’m well-known, and I must get a handle on things. I understand the field I entered, so I simply have to dive in headfirst.

I’m optimistic that once I emerge from the jungle, I might find that my fear has disappeared since I’ll be in an extremely open, susceptible, and exposed circumstance.

Once I’ve completed my journey and people truly recognize me, I find a profound sense of liberation in it. It’s as if I can breathe a sigh of relief, saying to myself, “At last, the speculations are settled.
