I’m A Celeb star Tulisa Contostavlos brands Maura Higgins ‘a little cow’ for laughing after N-Dubz star discovers she’s up for critter-infested Bushtucker Trial
As a seasoned viewer of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, I must say that this year’s edition is shaping up to be quite the rollercoaster ride. The dynamics among the contestants are as intriguing as ever, with the latest tussle between Dean and Melvin adding a new layer of drama.
Maura Higgins was playfully referred to as “a small bovine” by Tulisa Contostavlos before participating in the Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
On this past Wednesday, I simply couldn’t tear my eyes away from the captivating episode of the renowned ITV show. You know who was in the spotlight? None other than the charismatic N-Dubz star, turning 37 soon! The excitement in the air was palpable when he was chosen to confront the pulse-pounding challenge, Shock Around The Clock, a title bestowed upon him by the public’s overwhelming support with their votes.
After learning that Tulisa was chosen for this round’s trial, Love Island contestant Maura, aged 34 (having previously participated in two trials), couldn’t conceal her sense of ease and good fortune as she wasn’t selected this time.
Upon noticing her relief, Tulisa quipped: ‘I know, Maura’s so entertained right now.’
Maura was heard laughing as Tulisa pointed out, “You’ll sit there giggling just like that while I’m performing.
Maura clapped back: ‘I’d love to be a fly on the wall.’
As a loyal participant, I playfully nicknamed my fellow camper a “little calf” during our exchange. Later, in the Bush Telegraph, I shared with confidence, “Today, there was no trial for me, and that’s why I have a grin from ear to ear.
On Tuesday night’s program, the audience witnessed an amusing team task. During this event, Tulisa and Maura were particularly talkative while their fellow participants faced a heavy rain of insects inside a bus.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I dared to accept the “Shock Around the Clock” challenge solo, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both of whom are in their mid-forties, assuring me that I’d be securely fastened within a colossal clock hand-shaped container.
During her attempt to gather 12 stars for camp, the star was circled and accompanied by a group of strange crawling creatures, as she continued to rotate around like the hands on a clock face.
In this game, Tulisa was assigned a category for each star, and she needed to come up with 12 items related to that category within a time frame of 60 seconds.
Under pressure as time ran out, Tulisa was challenged to name twelve items from various groups.
The categories included naming all 12 I’m A Celebrity campmates, answering which trimmings made up the ideal Sunday roast and naming UK cities, all while rotating and being joined by an assortment of critters.
Yet, it appeared as though the star found it hard to concentrate and longed for the moment to pass, persistently shouting ‘hurry up and finish!’ while the creatures kept tumbling down.
Despite finding it challenging due to her general knowledge, Tulisa managed to earn five out of twelve stars at the camp.
After experiencing the Bushtucker Trial, she commented: ‘Inside there, my mind seemed to shut down; it became empty. All I could do was focus on staying alive.’
After coming back to camp, Maura consoled the star and encouraged her not to lose heart due to the outcome of her trial.
In another part of the program, Melvin Odoom, aged 44, became upset with fellow camper Dean McCullough, who is 32 years old, when Dean decided to leave him in charge of the household tasks.
The presenter strongly criticized the Irish DJ for consistently being absent when someone required assistance with unusual tasks at the campsite.
As your trusted lifestyle advisor, I found myself feeling quite frustrated, finding myself solely responsible for accomplishing a task due to Dean’s reluctance to help out. So, I decided to bring the issue up with him in town.
While on water duties, Melvin said: ‘This is a lone man situation, he’s very good at disappearing.’
As a devoted fan, I found myself grappling with the challenge of transporting a single pot of water back to our campsite, feeling it was an unduly tough assignment.
He moaned: ‘That is no joke, the pot is so heavy.’
In a straightforward manner, let me express my feelings: “I’ve made it clear that I dislike household chores, particularly washing dishes. Frankly, it’s a task I find unpleasant and one I’d rather not perform any longer.
‘Guys I can’t, it’s not for me!’
But before he continued, camp leader Danny chastised Dean, telling him: ‘Just get on with it mate.’
In response to Melvin’s urging for him to continue drawing water together and the camp advising him to maintain a positive outlook, Dean replied: “Well, there’s no argument, no fuss – I simply despise this work!
Melvin then joked: ‘Listen, your new name is Houdini because you like to disappear!’
The camp descended into laughter as Oti exclaimed: ‘Shots fired!’ while Dean was left too shocked to speak.
I’m A Celebrity continues on Thursday at 9pm on ITVX and ITV.
