Ruby Wax’s husband, Ed Bye, has arrived in Australia. This happened after Wax received criticism from viewers for a surprising interaction with a contestant nicknamed ‘Angry Ginge’ on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 72-year-old comedian recently surprised everyone when she gave Ginge a pair of her clean underwear for good luck right before he did the “Terrifying Tours” Bushtucker Trial.
People reacted strongly to Ruby’s actions, with many finding them upsetting and describing her behavior as improper and humiliating.
Ed didn’t seem concerned by the recent issues, arriving in Brisbane and eager to meet Ruby as soon as she leaves the jungle, which is expected within the next ten days.
Ruby and her husband, Ed, have been married since 1988 and have three grown children: a son named Max, who is 37, and daughters Madeleine, 35, and Marina, 32.
The presenter is causing a split among viewers of I’m A Celebrity. Some people are entertained by her direct and sarcastic style, but others strongly dislike her behavior.

During Tuesday’s episode, the celebrity was seen taking food from her fellow contestants. Viewers reacted negatively, calling her ‘selfish’ after she secretly took a bag of liquorice allsorts for herself.
This follows viewers criticizing Ruby’s behavior towards Ginge, calling it inappropriate and embarrassing.
Earlier this week, 24-year-old Ginge faced a Bushtucker Trial called Terrifying Tours. The challenge involved putting his head in a box filled with creepy creatures and using only his mouth to try and grab stars.
Lisa Riley, known for her roles in Ruby and Emmerdale, said goodbye to someone before bravely tackling a daunting challenge that involved crossing a bridge.
Just before he left, Ruby handed him a pair of red underwear. ‘These are for luck,’ she explained. ‘I always wear red when I’m trying to make something happen.’
AngryGinge told the camera that Ruby had given him a pair of her lucky underwear, but he wasn’t sure if they’d actually bring any luck today.
She then took the YouTuber’s rucksack and placed the knickers in his bag.
Ruby said: ‘Take that along and you think of those lucky pants.’

AngryGinge added: ‘I won’t be touching them. I won’t be doing anything with them.’
Lisa then shouted: ‘Bye darling!’ as she waved him off, while Ruby added: ‘The pants are clean!’
AngryGinge explained to the camera that the items would stay in the bag until they returned to camp, where Ruby could get them out.
Those watching at home were not impressed.
Someone posted on X, questioning why Ruby gave Ginge her underwear, calling it strange and unpleasant. They pointed out that there would likely be a strong negative reaction if the situation were reversed.
Ruby Wax’s language was inappropriate for someone of her age and I found it embarrassing, especially with my 11-year-old watching. I’m contacting Ofcom about it. #imaceleb
‘Not Ruby giving Ginge her lucky pants #imaceleb.’
‘Ruby take your knickers back man smh.’
However some found it funny.
‘Ruby giving Ginge her lucky pants was hilarious.’
I honestly didn’t expect to find myself in 2025 listening to someone with red hair rant about Ruby Wax’s underwear, but here we are!
Ruby and AngryGinge have developed a close relationship since entering the jungle.
While talking to a mental health advocate on the show Tuesday, the gamer shared details about his ex-girlfriend’s harsh breakup with him.
Ruby remarked how she didn’t think Ginge was the romantic type.
The celebrity, whose actual name is Morgan Burtwistle, shared the grand romantic gesture he used to mark the beginning of his relationship.
Ginge remembered creating a romantic trail of rose petals leading from the front door, up the stairs, and into her room. There, he’d placed a teddy bear and a single rose before finally asking her to be his girlfriend.
Sadly, Ginge’s relationship ended badly when his ex-partner broke up with him via text message while he was live streaming.

He added: ‘I had to carry on for six more hours.’
They also talked about how Ginge was feeling after a difficult Monday. He’d been feeling homesick, and upset that the other contestants weren’t happy he’d tricked them into thinking he’d done badly in the Bushtucker Trial.
Confirming he was in a better mood, Ginge said: ‘Much better, yesterday I was just terrible.
It’s been ten days since I last saw my mum, but I’ve always been able to call or text her. When you can’t communicate at all, it really starts to weigh on you.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV1 and ITVX.
