I’m A Celebrity star Toby Anstis has revealed the real reason why he turned down dating shows.
On the “Suddenly Single” podcast hosted by Siobhan Wykes and Tim Vincent, Anstis shared insights into his personal dating experiences.
The Heart Radio Breakfast DJ explained that he declined invitations to participate in dating shows because he has undergone therapy and currently enjoys being unattached.
“I feel very grateful and happy in life. I don’t have to be in a relationship,” he said.
After spending considerable time and effort in therapy and personal growth, I find myself in a comfortable position. Sharing my vulnerabilities on a dating show feels unnecessary, especially considering being filmed throughout the process. You don’t have to expose yourself like that on a dating app.
In relation to dating applications, a presenter, known from season 6 of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in 2006, mentioned that many individuals frequently suspect his online profile as being unauthentic.
Anstis remarked, “Many folks have commented, ‘You seem to be a catfish, I just hope Toby is aware that you’ve used his pictures.’
He went on to say: “Regardless of your profession, everyone deserves the chance to seek out an extraordinary partner. It doesn’t make a difference if you’re a nurse or a broadcaster. No one should feel ashamed for having a profile and seeking a date on this platform.
During the interview, Anstis discussed his alleged 2013 relationship with Priscilla Presley, disclosing that they were merely acquaintances who enjoyed a casual dinner together following an introduction by their mutual friend, Warwick Davis.
