Aitch, the rapper from Manchester, is heading into the jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity’ with a special purpose: to raise awareness and support for people with Down Syndrome, inspired by his 13-year-old sister, Gracie.
He explained to the Daily Mail that he wasn’t just doing this to help people with Down syndrome, but to benefit everyone around them as well.
I don’t want anyone to be upset or feel bad if they learn a family member has Down syndrome. It’s actually a wonderful thing.
‘You’re going to have the best time of your life as long as you’re spending it with that person.
What’s most important to me is ensuring Down syndrome isn’t viewed negatively.
I don’t want people to define others solely by their diagnosis, like saying ‘that’s the kid with Down syndrome’ or ‘that’s my sister with Down syndrome.’

It’s frustrating when people offer empty sympathy, like saying ‘I’m sorry to hear that’ when it’s simply not true. These are actually the most wonderful people you could ever meet.
Down syndrome is a condition in which a person has an extra chromosome.
He also spoke out against abortion laws that permit terminating a pregnancy up to birth if the fetus is diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
Rapper Aitch, whose full name is Harrison James Armstrong, recently shared that he’s become aware of a difficult reality. He explained that in some cases, parents can learn their baby will have Down syndrome very close to the due date, and that termination is still an option available to them, which he finds upsetting.
If a child lacks something essential in a different scenario, there’s a limited window of time before you have to stop what you’re doing.
Rapper Straight Rhymez has a strong connection with his younger sister, Gracie, and wrote the song ‘My G’ in her honor. All money earned from the song will be given to the Down’s Syndrome Association.
The song encourages listeners to embrace life and grow at their own pace, reminding them that the world is full of possibilities.
He then mentions G throughout the song, which refers to his sister’s name.
Aitch announced his new song, ‘My G,’ on Instagram with a heartfelt video featuring his sister, Gracie. He described it as a very personal track.
To my amazing sister Gracie, who is the most wonderful person I know. You make my life so much better, and I wouldn’t trade our relationship for anything. I hope you chase your dreams and savor every moment.
Aitch starts his “My G” music video with a heartfelt message for Gracie Armstrong, saying, “This song is dedicated to Gracie Armstrong. You have the biggest heart in the world! Don’t change for anyone. Love you kid x.”
The accompanying music video featured Ed Sheeran.
As a lifestyle expert, I often advise people on navigating tricky family dynamics, and this is a classic example! Honestly, he kept his jungle trip a secret from his sister because he knew she couldn’t keep a confidence. He was worried she’d spill the beans about his plans, and he wanted to keep it all under wraps.
‘My Gracie thinks I’m going to LA because she’s a chatty mouth,’ he joked.

He admitted he’d definitely surprise her when she sees him among the other celebrities like Jack Osborne and Kelly Brook. He doesn’t think anyone will warn her beforehand, and she’ll likely just be told when she arrives.
‘So unfortunately, I won’t get to see that reaction.
She’ll likely react with something like, ‘Oh, it’s Harrison!’ It’s a bit amusing to think about, but she’ll absolutely be thrilled for me and really happy.
‘Yeah, she loves it. She shouldn’t really be staying up that late but it’s all right.’
The singer is hoping his time on the reality show will help him become more well-known, as he’s trying to get more opportunities in television.
He explained he initially agreed to participate because it was difficult to decline – it was a show he’d enjoyed watching since childhood.
When I was offered the chance, and I told my mom about it, she would have been really upset if I’d turned it down.
‘But in terms of future-wise, it’s also good to build on the profile.’
