I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is underway, with the first challenge completed by five contestants: a parachute jump from a helicopter over Australia’s Gold Coast.
Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Aitch, Edie Kadi, and Shona McGarty were all smiles and shared a group hug after arriving on Broadwater Beach today.
The group had a joyful celebration on the beach, dancing together after successfully parachuting from helicopters – a great start to the reality show competition.
Ant McPartlin, 49, and Declan Donnelly, 50, watched from the cliffside as the newest group of celebrities completed their challenge, waving to them as they finished.
Forty-five-year-old Kelly was thrilled to be back on solid ground, jumping up and down with excitement. She was wearing a leopard-print jumpsuit and boots.
Martin, age 64, jumped wearing a navy polo shirt and cream chinos. Aitch, 25, wore a matching blue and white striped outfit.

Oh my gosh, Shona looked absolutely incredible! She was rocking this amazing, vibrant patterned two-piece outfit – a total fashion moment! And Edi, well, he was effortlessly cool in his simple white tee and brown pants. He always looks so…him. But seriously, Shona’s outfit? I need it in my life!
Soon, the team will be wearing the iconic red and khaki jungle outfits that viewers associate with the ITV show.
When the new contestants arrived, Ant and Dec watched from a distance, standing on a pile of yellow crates, but they didn’t say anything to the group.
The celebrities were picked up by helicopters from Surfer’s Paradise early that morning, and the entire filming process took over four hours. Their helicopters spent a considerable amount of time circling the National Park during the shoot.
The celebrities faced a series of challenges in the wilderness, and the three who performed the worst were driven away in a rundown car ITV playfully calls the ‘Cocko Van’.
The winning pair celebrated with a glass of sparkling wine while riding in the brand-new Getaway Car.
The team who wins the challenge will get comfortable mattresses back at camp, but the other three members will have to make do with the regular beds.
More celebrities will be joining the challenge soon, including internet personality Angry Ginge, Jack Osbourne (Ozzy Osbourne’s son), actress Lisa Riley, former soccer player Alex Scott, and comedian Ruby Wax.

The show consistently sparked discussion, often due to the inclusion of divisive personalities like Nigel Farage and Matt Hancock.
As a lifestyle observer, I noticed a real shift with ‘I’m A Celebrity’ last year. They seemed to opt for a more approachable cast – think people like Coleen Rooney and Danny Jones from McFly – as their headline stars. It was clear they were deliberately avoiding anyone from the political world, which definitely changed the vibe of the show.
It was, as a result, a year that passed with little to no drama.
ITV executives are implementing new rules for this year’s show, which they anticipate will be the most challenging one yet. These changes are designed to encourage celebrities to be more competitive, actively participate, and avoid being passive.
The show has removed the option for family to send celebrities ‘luxury items’ – things like personalized pillows with family photos – in an effort to keep them challenged and uncomfortable.
Celebrities can get a personalized framed photo by completing a challenge.
Olly Nash, the show’s executive producer, explained to the Daily Mail that the program is intentionally challenging and demanding, and he believes it’s perfectly acceptable to emphasize that aspect.
‘We need to see more celebrities earning their keep, that’s the most important thing.

This season has a record number of celebrity participants, making the competition fiercer than ever before.
Last year’s cast was a very positive and cheerful group who enjoyed working together. This year, they’ll face more challenges, take on greater responsibilities, and play a more significant role at camp.
They can’t stay on the sidelines anymore. It’s time for them to take responsibility and deal with the consequences of the situation.
Several celebrities on this year’s show are likely to become irritable if they’re hungry or tired.
This year a new feature referred to as the Getaway Car has been introduced at the launch show.
The first ten celebrities are divided into two groups. The first two people to finish challenges in each group – which include a messy task involving fish – will earn a ride to camp in the Getaway Car, complete with a celebratory drink.
They are then greeted by more comfortable beds in the camp with mattresses.
The other three people in each group ride in an older, less comfortable van called the ‘Coco van’.

Producers of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ have reported a significant increase in the number of pythons around the jungle camp this year, with one official stating they’ve seen more snakes than in any previous season of the show.
He said he’d encountered more snakes during this stage of construction than ever before, including large pythons nearly as long as the log beside him.
I’ve spotted quite a few snakes recently—about six or seven in the past couple of weeks. That’s especially noticeable because it’s only when people are around that I see them, as they usually hide when we’re setting up camp.
Following a recent report in the Mail, it’s been revealed that a new rule has been introduced to the show after 25 years. This rule states that if a celebrity participates in two consecutive trials, they will automatically be safe from the next public vote.
Viewers are pleased with the changes, especially after last year when Dean McCullough was unfairly selected for seven consecutive Bushtucker Trials, and things became problematic.
Viewers expressed their frustration on X, previously known as Twitter, requesting a limit on how often one contestant, Dean, participated in challenges. They felt it wasn’t entertaining to see him do so many, and that it was taking away opportunities from other contestants and harming the show’s overall quality.
Network executives have agreed to let all celebrities participate in the challenges, earn stars, and compete for public votes. However, they’re planning to make everyday life in camp more difficult.
If a contestant wants a bath, two others must work together to pedal a bike and pump the water needed. This also means there’s less opportunity for anyone to hide away from camp life.
