42-year-old actor Alan from Coronation Street became one of two celebrities who left the jungle unexpectedly during last Friday’s episode, with GK Barry being the other. With the final episode of the series approaching, it was a surprising double elimination.

The eliminated duo both joined hosts Ant and Dec on the ITV2 spin-off show Unpacked, where they were quick to spill the beans about their time on the reality show. 

Sam Thompson, both the host and previous winner of I’m A Celebrity, inquired from Alan if there were any “actors” within the camp. To this, Alan alluded to a disagreement by pointing out: “Dean! He carries a tale right on his face.

‘It’s ridiculous!’

It’s not unexpected that the statement holds true because he had past disagreements with radio DJ Dean, who is 32 years old, while both were in the jungle together, right before Dean left.

Previously this week, the BBC radio host openly expressed that he harbors no remorse about his heated argument with Alan, which he shared with listeners on Thursday.

Last week, I found myself caught up in a whirlwind of tension between Dean and Alan. Their disagreement over camp chores left me on edge, and it seemed to me that the esteemed BBC star might have been a bit too firm in his approach.

Dean rubbed the Corrie actor, 42, up the wrong way after neglecting his chores and taking a nap.

Dean clarified that their disagreement wasn’t as intense as it appeared on television, implying a lighter tone to their argument.

In the context of an Instagram Q&A, someone posed this question to Dean: ‘Did you feel remorse for confronting Alan? Your response seemed quite forceful.’

Dean responded: ‘I don’t regret the situation with Alan at all, because that is life.

“When you feel hurt by someone, it’s important to communicate your feelings and give the person an opportunity to explain themselves. Have an open conversation, exchange apologies if needed, and then work towards resolving the issue and moving forward.

It wasn’t complicated at all. Alan and I had a great connection. We became incredibly close during our time together.

In everyday conversations, his playful teasing seemed routine to me, so it wasn’t unusual for me to respond as if he had hurt my feelings, which was something I anticipated from him.

In many instances, individuals openly expressed their feelings, and we managed to move past them amicably. There was neither a theatrical outburst nor any tension escalation.

In reality, it felt as if it happened instantly, much quicker than how it might appear on television. To put it simply, such fleeting moments are just the way life often unfolds.

Following Alan’s departure to aid Jane Moore in gathering firewood, while Dean remained asleep, Dean retaliated swiftly with a sharp response towards Alan.

The soap actor inquired, “You’re not interested? Not at all?” before departing to assist Jane personally, following her admission that she couldn’t handle it alone.

Later on, Dean arrived and said to Alan, “It’s safe for you to return now,” following which the actor clarified, “I was attempting to rouse you gently.

Afterward, Dean responded: “Hear me out. It’s necessary for you to let me have a moment if you’re going to rouse me, okay?

It usually requires a few moments for my contact lenses to adjust properly. So, there’s no need to worry or ask if I’m having trouble seeing clearly, just give me a moment and I’ll be good to go.

Alan responded, saying, “Since I heard what you were saying, Jane was on her way here, so I came instead.” This exchange took place during their intense discussion.

In the 2024 jungle competition, Dean was the second celebrity eliminated, having participated in an impressive seven trials. On multiple occasions, he appealed for help using the phrase, “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
