SUGARGAME NETWORK LIMITED (based in Hong Kong) has begun a closed beta test for their RPG, Illusion Connect: Re, on Android devices in the United States, Brazil, the Philippines, and Thailand. The game was originally created by Superprism Technology and first released in 2020, followed by a version on EOS. This is the third time the game has been relaunched.

Illusion Connect: Re is a great comeback for fans who have been waiting for a new installment. It combines strategic planning with fast-paced battles, and this relaunch lets you reconnect with familiar characters – the Radiants – while discovering a continuing story filled with fresh experiences and obstacles.

In this game, you collect and build a team from over 130 charming characters, each with unique abilities, personalities, and roles in battle. The combat is really fun because you directly control your heroes, change their positions, and plan your strategy on the fly to overcome tough enemies. It’s great that the game doesn’t just play itself – you’re actively involved in every fight!

You can build meaningful bonds, decorate your house, and more

Beyond fighting, you can build relationships with your companions, unlocking new skills as you get closer. Plus, you can personalize your home with furniture and wallpapers, making a cozy space they’ll appreciate.

The game seems really promising, and I’m hoping this version finally gains traction – third time’s the charm! The content looks fantastic, with beautifully animated Live2D characters, exciting real-time battles, and voice acting from well-known talents like Ai Kayano, among other great features.

Illusion Connect: Re is now available for a limited number of Android players in the US, Brazil, the Philippines, and Thailand as part of a closed beta test.
