Idris Elba and his wife, Sabrina, have been dealing with a stalker who has shown up unexpectedly at separate events they both attended in London.
The 53-year-old actor became well-known for his role in the TV crime drama Luther, where his character was pursued by a dangerous and mentally unstable female killer.
The storyline is starting to mirror his own life, as he and his partner are also experiencing upsetting cyberstalking through their email accounts.
Idris and Sabrina have been harassed by a stalker since September, and the harassment continued as recently as October 21st.
It is understood the police are aware of the incidents.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘These events were seriously distressing for Idris and his family.

‘He had no choice but to report it to the authorities because it had gone too far.
Sabrina’s involvement was the last thing he could handle. He did what he believed was necessary to defend his wife and family.
The Daily Mail have contacted Elba’s representatives for comment.
Idris Elba and his daughter, Isan, attended the New York Film Festival in September for the premiere of his new film, A House Of Dynamite. It was a rare public appearance for the pair.
