The show ran for nine seasons, spanning 187 episodes from 2003 to 2012. It delved into the aspirations and lives of diverse characters set in the make-believe North Carolina town called Tree Hill.
Despite having ended more than a decade back, “One Tree Hill” continues to resonate with viewers in the UK, as it ranks among the top 10 shows on streaming service ITVX at present.
The widespread appreciation for this show is evident in its high ratings. On IMDb, it has a commendable rating of 7.8 out of 10, based on over 92,000 reviews. Similarly, its audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is robust, sitting at 68%.
One user on IMDb remarked, “Watching this as my first teen show creates a sense of nostalgia that will never fade,” while another praised it by saying, “This series makes time seem to fly by, and I find myself wanting to watch multiple hours each day. It’s like unearthing a rare gem on television.

In the upcoming continuation, the story revolves around Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) and Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton), now grown and raising their families. The series will showcase both their parenting journeys and the familiar teenage drama that we’ve grown accustomed to.
