Iconic and nostalgic ’00s crime drama reboot confirms exciting all-new cast

The upcoming reboot of Prison Break has announced new cast members.

Back in recent times, it became official that the beloved ’00s TV series would be making a comeback, this time taking place within the same world as the initial episodes, but introducing fresh faces to keep things exciting.

Recently, we’ve received additional information. The series has cast Emily Browning from “The Affair,” portraying Cassidy Collins, a character who is a former soldier and now works as a corrections officer. This role finds her working in one of America’s most dangerous prisons, according to Deadline.

Lukas Gage from “Euphoria” will play Jackson, a politician who hails from a wealthy family and is embarking on his initial congressional campaign. Meanwhile, Drake Rodger, known for “The Winchesters”, has been chosen to portray Tommy, an inmate who has spent the last ten years behind bars.

For the moment, specifics about the storyline are being kept secret, but by the close of 2024, the series had been approved for a trial run.

Previously, it had been established that the characters Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (portrayed by Dominic Purcell), who hail from the show created by Mayans MC’s Elgin James, would not make an appearance in the show itself.

The TV show titled “Prison Break” originally aired from 2005 to 2009, and then came back for its last season in 2017. Besides Miller and Purcell, the main cast also included Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Robin Tunney, Peter Stormare, and Sarah Wayne Callies.

Previously, it had been made official that Miller and Purcell were set to reunite in a fresh TV series titled “Snatchback” for next season. This thrilling show chronicles a group on a mission to rescue hostages worldwide, inspired by the experiences of a genuine undercover intelligence officer.

The remake of Prison Break has not announced its release date as of now, but you can stream all five seasons of the original series on Netflix immediately.
