Iconic ’90s sitcom branded ‘true gem from that era’ gets new UK streaming home

Northern Exposure, the iconic ’90s sitcom, has landed a new streaming home in the UK.

Debuting in 1990, the series introduces us to Rob Morrow’s character, Dr. Joel Fleischman. Having recently graduated from medical school, he is unexpectedly assigned by his scholarship terms to a quirky Alaskan town due to his reluctance to practice medicine in more populated areas.

Recently graduated doctor, Dr. Joel Fleischman from New York City, has been assigned by Alaska to practice medicine in the fictional town of Cicely, Alaska as a way of repaying them for funding his medical education.

Alongside Morrow, we have actors like Janine Turner, Barry Corbin, John Cullum, Darren E Burrows, John Corbett, Cynthia Geary, and Elaine Miles joining the production team.

The entire six-season run of the show, originally aired from 1990 to 1995, can now be streamed in the UK on Amazon Prime Video, as it has been added to their streaming library.
