Iconic 80s singer blasts outrageous claims he had ‘troubles with erectile dysfunction’ before ‘becoming at father at 67’

Neil Finn, the vocalist of Crowded House, has had to refute allegations about him experiencing problems related to impotence.

The artist, who hails from New Zealand and is currently 67 years old, made a statement following the widespread appearance of an ad online that employed artificial intelligence.

The bogus news report alleged that the musician had recently become a parent again, having apparently resolved a long-standing personal issue.

‘I never thought I’d be able to become a father again,’ the AI generated Finn said.

In truth, I feel that chapter in my life has come to an end not out of personal desire, but rather due to circumstances beyond my control.

For a long time, I’ve struggled with an issue that many men find difficult to discuss openly. Over the years, my ability to maintain strong erections gradually weakened and eventually ceased entirely.

‘No desire, no confidence, no control. I was too embarrassed to even talk to my wife about it.’

The artificial intelligence-generated false video was shared on the official Facebook page of Crowded House, accompanied by a declaration stating its origin.

‘The origin of this is uncertain, but be cautious not to be deceived. Neil has always been free of issues related to impotence.’

People rushed to comment sections expressing their reactions to the video, with several claiming it didn’t seem like Neil was the one singing.

One person commented that Neil’s accent and voice are nothing like what they expected,” or “Another remarked in disbelief: ‘Neil now speaks with a distinctly British accent!’

‘But… it doesn’t even sound anything like Neil – not even a little bit,’ a third agreed.

‘Why does this guy sound like he’d AI generated?’ another questioned.

Hailing from both Australia and New Zealand, Crowded House originated in Melbourne back in 1985.

The band are heading off on tour in Australia, headlining the 2025 Red Hot Summer Tour in October.

Last year, the band released their eighth album Gravity Stairs.

As a devoted admirer, I am thrilled to express my appreciation for the remarkable 11 tracks on this album. These masterpieces are undeniably some of the finest work our esteemed musical icons have ever produced.

Last year in May, the album that includes the hit single “Oh Hi” reached the third spot on the ARIA chart upon its release.
