On the weekend, Ice-T astonished his followers on social media by posting a fresh picture featuring him and his youngest child, Chanel.
The picture, shared on platform X (previously known as Twitter), showcases the 66-year-old actor from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, who was recently involved in a heated traffic stop using profanity, relaxing behind road equipment at what seems to be an open-air festival stage.
His nine-year-old daughter sat quietly behind him, propping up her face with one hand and focusing intently, all the while flashing a gentle smile at the camera.
In a simpler, more conversational manner: Ice-T (Tracy Lauren Marrow), in a sweet post, wrote: ‘At some point, you understand that someone is always keeping an eye on your every step…. ❤️.’
In their responses, fans were taken aback by the striking similarity between the now actor and his small look-alike daughter who is a budding rapper.
Chanel, who is shared by the actor from SVU and his wife Coco Austin, bears an uncanny resemblance to a younger version of him, while also showing similarities to her mother.
She coordinated her father’s appearance with a monochrome style consisting of a black graphic t-shirt, black trousers, and black Adidas sneakers.
Ice-T sported a combination of black attire: shorts, shirt, jacket, and Converse high-tops with white crew socks. To complete the look, he wore a black Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.
‘Did you clone her then add long hair?’ one fan joked in the replies.
Another fan felt similarly, writing, ‘You don’t need a DNA test… She looks just like you, mate!’
‘That’s your mini. Wow!’ wrote another user.
‘She’s definitely your mini me. I love it 💕,’ gushed a fan.
One individual took the similarity as grounds for providing the artist with some guidance. Essentially, they said, “It’s indeed your likeness learning here, so be mindful of what lessons you impart through your words and actions.
Beyond Chanel, Ice-T is also a father to two grown children from past relationships. His eldest child, LeTesha Marrow, turns 48 this year, whom he had when he was still in high school with her mother Adrienne. Over the years, Adrienne has mostly chosen to stay away from the limelight.
In 1984, Ice-T started dating Darlene Ortiz while filming ‘Breakin’. Their relationship lasted for 17 years, ending in 2000. Later on, they had a son, Tracy Marrow Jr., who is now 33 years old.
Just a few weeks ago, he experienced a joyful family moment, which followed closely on the heels of Ice-T commemorating his 24th wedding anniversary with his spouse Coco Austin on New Year’s Day through a heartfelt social media post.
In November, they offered fans a glimpse into their enduring marriage, where Coco emphasized the significance of maintaining a ‘happy and robust’ intimate relationship, indicating that they engage in it approximately ‘thrice weekly’.
‘I think that’s good after 23 years. I think you have to keep it up,’ she told E! News.
A crucial aspect of maintaining the excitement in their relationship involves scheduling frequent date nights, which often involve dining out, dressing smartly for one another, and Ice-T selecting clothing for his partner.
Her husband also opined that too little sex can doom a relationship.
He put it this way: ‘In the beginning of a relationship, it’s normal to desire intimacy. But if that urge fades… if those feelings no longer exist, then it’s best to move on.’
