However, for every individual openly discussing their use of Ozempic, there seems to be a larger number who have been mysteriously quiet yet experiencing noticeable weight loss – such as Lizzo, Mindy Kaling, Melissa McCarthy, Khloé Kardashian, Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera, and Patricia Arquette.
Semaglutide injections may potentially have unknown long-term side effects like pancreatitis. For insured individuals who qualify, the cost per month is around $25, while an uninsured monthly supply of four weekly injections can range from $600 to $1,300.
These medications – Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, Mounjaro, and Victoza – are intended solely for patients with severe obesity who also have type 2 diabetes. Notably, among them, Wegovy is the only one that received approval from the FDA in 2021 for weight loss purposes.
