I Watched A Classic Harrison Ford Rom-Com For The First Time For Free On YouTube, And I Couldn’t Stop Swooning And Laughing

I didn’t grow up watching classics like Indiana Jones or Star Wars, so I didn’t become a Harrison Ford fan until I saw him play the somewhat grumpy therapist, Paul, in the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking. Since then, I’ve been discovering his earlier films. I recently watched Working Girl on YouTube, and I was really impressed with his comedic timing and romantic charm.

Working Girl Is Streaming For Free On YouTube

If you haven’t seen it, the classic romantic comedy Working Girl, featuring Melanie Griffith, Sigourney Weaver, and Harrison Ford, is currently available to watch for free on YouTube TV, though it does include advertisements.

I’ve been really wanting to see this movie for some time, so I was excited when I had the chance. I recently enjoyed seasons of 1923 and Shrinking, and I’ve been making an effort to watch more films featuring Harrison Ford.

I’ve always loved Jack Trainer from Working Girl, so I was thrilled to hear he’d be in a romantic comedy. When I found out I could watch the movie for free with just a few ads, I immediately started watching, and it did not disappoint!

Harrison Ford’s Performance In Working Girl Is Equal Parts Swoonworthy And Hilarious

Harrison Ford has always been a popular and attractive figure. Roles like Han Solo and Indiana Jones made many fans fall in love with him or want to emulate his persona. He’s also been a style icon for years. In the movie Working Girl, he perfectly plays the charming love interest, and his performance was both sweet and funny.

The 1988 film follows Tess McGill, played by Melanie Griffith, who seizes an opportunity to climb the corporate ladder when her boss, Katharine Parker (Sigourney Weaver), is injured. Tess teams up with Jack Trianer (Harrison Ford) to execute her ambitious plan, and along the way, they fall in love.

I was immediately captivated when Jack first met Tess and asked to simply connect as people. Harrison Ford is incredibly charming in the role of this businessman, and I, like Tess, found myself falling for him.

Throughout the movie, he’s also consistently hilarious. A particularly funny scene involves the wedding, where Jack can be seen quickly downing a tropical drink before emerging from the women’s restroom to tell the upset bride she looks “glorious, fabulous, stunning, super, elegant [pops mouth], perfect.”

One of the funniest parts of the movie is when Jack quickly changes his shirt in his office while still talking on the phone, and awkwardly dismisses the people who start clapping. It’s a perfect blend of humor and embarrassment.

Ford’s perfect comedic delivery shines throughout the movie, and combined with the sweet romance, it makes for a truly enjoyable experience.

If you’re looking for a really enjoyable movie that won’t cost you a thing, I highly recommend checking out Working Girl. It’s a Harrison Ford film, and honestly, it’s a classic for good reason – I think you’ll really like it!
