Previously, we believed that “Top Gun: Maverick” significantly elevated its game with Tom Cruise and the cast performing daring flight stunts. Regarding the grand concept and fresh obstacles planned for the third installment, Kosinski hinted to GQ what awaits us in “Top Gun 3,” while keeping specific details under wraps: a tantalizing glimpse at what’s to come.

In simpler terms, the concept we’ve discovered for our story is not just significant in scope, but it delves deep into the essence of our tale. We’re envisioning something far grander than… This predicament that Maverick encounters is profoundly existential and overshadows him personally. In every film, Maverick finds himself in a predicament that challenges his identity as a pilot and fosters his personal development.
