I Know What You Did Last Summer Trailer Drops: Jennifer Love Hewitt & Freddie Prinze Jr. Return!

I Know What You Did Last Summer shared its first trailer on Tuesday.

This is a remake of the 1997 blockbuster movie, which was inspired by Lois Duncan’s novel and led to the release of its sequel, I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1998.

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt is returning to her character, Julie James, while Freddie Prinze Jr. will once more portray Ray Bronson in their respective roles.

In addition, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King, Chase Sui Wonders, Billy Campbell, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and Austin Nichols will also be part of the cast.

It will be released in the US on July 18 and marks the fourth entry into the franchise.

The movie is helmed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, released through Sony Pictures Releasing, and produced by Columbia Pictures.

Filming for the much-awaited movie began in October 2024, and they completed the final shots just recently.

As a devoted companion among five of us, we unwittingly triggered a tragic car crash. Instead of owning up to our actions and dealing with the repercussions, we banded together in secrecy, vowing never to reveal what truly happened that fateful day.

Approximately a year has passed, and a chilling reminder of their past resurfaces, compelling them to face an appalling reality: someone appears to be aware of their actions from the previous summer…and seems determined to exact retribution for those events.

In the unfolding sequence of events, as my friends find themselves in the crosshairs of a menacing figure, we unearth chilling echoes from the past – a similar string of tragedies that occurred back in 1997, known as the Southport Massacre. Driven by desperation and the need to survive, we seek out the guidance of the two individuals who miraculously survived that harrowing ordeal.

1998 saw the release of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, with a sequel, I’ll Never Forget What You Did Last Summer, coming out in 2006.

Fans of the franchise are beyond excited and can’t wait to see it.

In today’s era of leaks, it seems ironic that when we desire a leak, such as the new I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer, no one has any information on hand. I’m eager to see it right away, not having to wait until the end of this month.

Another person chimed in, expressing enthusiasm about the upcoming movie ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. They believe it will be both amazing and thrilling, and they are eagerly anticipating its release.

‘Someone please leak that I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer,’ a third said.

A fourth tweeted: ‘I’m so excited for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer movie.’

One individual exclaimed, ‘They’ve wrapped up the filming of Scream 4 and are already promoting it with posters and trailers. We deserve some news as well! Summer is just around the corner!’
