I Healed My Ruptured Knee Without Surgery!

In recent times, an influencer residing in Sydney experienced deep sadness after sustaining a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and suffering from two knee fractures in an unfortunate scooter mishap that occurred in Croatia.

On Tuesday, Tanja Gacic, aged 44, recounted a distressing experience on Instagram, disclosing that she suffered the injury about five months back during a trip to her homeland.

Instead of stubbornly refusing, she opted against the suggested surgery for repairs, preferring to explore alternative healing methods in collaboration with a wellness specialist and a sports physician.

She shared with her audience that approximately five months back, she was unfortunate enough to have an accident on a scooter in Croatia, which left her knee severely injured.

However, being as tenacious as a Balkan Aries, I considered it merely a slight strain, carrying on with my regular enthusiasm, albeit with a bit of a limp.

‘Upon my return to Australia, I discovered the truth about my condition – a double knee fracture and a torn ACL. This revelation, knowing that my passion for beach volleyball, basketball, and tennis was affected, left me deeply saddened.’

Tanja explained that her initial physician stated that a torn ACL wouldn’t naturally heal without surgical intervention and the use of a leg brace.

‘But something inside me made me feel like l wanted to wait,’ she added.

Tanja began practicing visualization techniques and significantly altered her eating habits as a means of promoting healing in her injured knee, choosing this method over traditional medical treatments.

She asserted that consuming crunchy animal cartilage, marrow, jelly-like fats, genuine bone broth, citrus fruits, lean meats, vegetables, goat’s yogurt drink (kefir), and magnesium aided in her recovery.

‘Walking on the beach nearly every day barefoot I would imagine my leg whole and healed,’ she said.

In response to your request for story advice, I noticed that the name Dr. Tom Cross (sports physician) was frequently mentioned in my Direct Messages. Consequently, I secured a referral to consult with him.

Tom has been successfully treating ACL injuries without surgery, paving the way as a trailblazer in his profession and challenging the widely held notion that torn ACLs cannot recover naturally without undergoing surgical treatment.

Tanja shared that Doctor Tom considered her as part of the group who make up approximately 15% of individuals, whose ruptures happen ideally for recovery to occur.

He advised her that her ACL would be healed in another six months if she didn’t injure it again.

In my heart, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for this remarkable event, truly amazed by the incredible capabilities the human body possesses under ideal conditions.

Tanja shared an image alongside her lengthy caption.

The photo revealed her beaming with joy while she playfully wrapped an arm around Dr. Tom’s shoulder, also displaying her visibly swollen and hurt knee.

In my latest post, I took you on a virtual journey through the charming streets of Croatia, with me limping slightly due to a knee injury hidden beneath some bandages.

At one point, Tanja was recognized as a long-standing friend of Pip Edwards, a co-founder of P.E Nation. However, their friendship of over two decades took a turn during the periods of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In contrast, while Pip, a 44-year-old fully-vaccinated individual, enjoyed trips to the USA and attended high-profile events in Sydney during 2021, Tanja, a blogger for My Empirical Life, utilized her platform to advocate against compulsory vaccinations and support protests advocating for ‘freedom day’ as a counter to lockdown measures.

In November of that particular year, I found myself joining a demonstration, and I posted a picture of myself amidst the crowd, expressing my pride: ‘I stand here, united with these people, resisting authoritative government expansion.’

The fashion influencer declared in her post that she hails from a lineage of “antifascist fighters,” and went on to explain various elements she believes are fostering “fascism” within Australia.

In her writing, she pointed out that recent proposed legislative changes may lead to concealing or distorting data, using media propaganda, the controversy known as ‘Pfizergate’, disregarding human rights in courts, and seeking exceptional emergency powers by certain leaders – all of which resemble how fascism functioned.

‘This is the hill I die on—democracy or bust,’ she added.

In the posts, Tanja also referred to herself as a ‘citizen journalist’.

Contrary to what Pip had been doing back then, who last appeared with Tanja in May 2021, she was instead indulging in an extravagant journey to the United States for the unveiling of her swimwear line.

Undeniably, Pip had to be fully vaccinated to gain entry into the country; during her stay, she was observed having a wonderful time at a glamorous event, letting loose with her hair and sipping champagne with friends.
