I Dream Of Jeannie star Barbara Eden makes rare public outing to celebrate her 93rd birthday

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for ageless grace and timeless elegance, I can wholeheartedly say that Barbara Eden is a true inspiration. At 93 years young, she exudes an energy and vitality that many half her age could only dream of. Her recent outing in Los Angeles, complete with a day of pampering and a dinner with friends, serves as a testament to her zest for life and her unwavering independence.

Barbara Eden looked as sprightly as ever as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Earlier in the week, the actress from “I Dream of Jeannie,” was seen dining with companions and later captured on camera enjoying a spa day at a salon, just before her upcoming 93rd birthday on Friday.

In a modest black long-sleeve top and a bohemian-style, mustard-yellow skirt featuring a lace trim, the woman of ninety appeared remarkably youthful.

She sported her trademark blond locks and rocked a stylish pair of chunky white-frame glasses.

The TV veteran completed the pre-birthday look with a set of modest cork wedges with beige straps.

Barbara demonstrated her unwavering independence by personally driving her red Mercedes-Benz SL 550 to the RC Hair Salon on her own.

On my self-care day, I kept things casual with a minimal makeup look, but come Sunday, I couldn’t resist stepping out with a glamorous touch – as seen in the snaps captured by DailyMail.com!

Despite her infrequent public outings, the actress recently made an appearance at the popular LA eatery, The Grill on the Alley, to dine with friends before her birthday.

In spite of her advanced years, Barbara appeared strikingly like she did during her I Dream Of Jeannie era, prompting one astonished fan to exclaim upon recognition, “Wow, that’s Jeannie!”

Charming as ever, the TV star replied, ‘Yes, that’s me!’

She became well-known for her acclaimed sitcom, where she portrayed a 2,000-year-old genie character. This genie had been trapped in a bottle and was freed by an astronaut (eventually known for his role in Dallas, played by Larry Hagman). The astronaut’s spacecraft landed off course on a deserted island instead of its intended destination.

In a more simplified and natural way: Instead of calling her by her actual name, he refers to Jeannie as “his” because she’s hidden inside a bottle. Throughout the series, we see the funny predicaments that arise from her magical powers as she struggles to reveal her affection for her savior.

Eden’s real-life love is her husband Jon Eicholtz, whom she married in 1991.

The actress from Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea had her third marriage, having been previously wedded to Michael Ansara, best known for his recurring role as the Blue Djinn on I Dream Of Jeannie, from 1958 until 1974. Later, she married Charles Fegert from 1977 to 1982.

On her birthday, Eden excitedly expressed: ‘I’m incredibly thankful to have made another full rotation around the planet.’

She mentioned that for her birthday, she’s arranging a lunch outing with her spouse Jon and some dear friends, and then spending the weekend festivities with her family, which includes her sibling Alison and her kin.

As a grateful admirer myself, I’d like to express heartfelt thanks to each one of you, my dear friends and supporters worldwide, for the abundant affection and goodwill you’ve showered upon me on this significant day of mine.

Barbara acted as the main character in I Dream of Jeannie for a span of five seasons from 1965 to 1970. Additionally, she made numerous guest appearances on popular shows during the ’50s and ’60s, such as I Love Lucy, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, Father Knows Best, The Andy Griffith Show, and Route 66, to name a few.

1955 marked a significant milestone for her, as she started making occasional appearances as a comedic performer in sketches on The Johnny Carson Show – an early variety show that eventually led to his permanent hosting role on The Tonight Show in 1962.
