Hunger Games and My Lady Jane stars team up for Netflix romance

As a seasoned gamer and bookworm with a penchant for romantic dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Emily Henry’s “People We Meet on Vacation.” Having traversed the realms of both Panem and Tudor England, I’ve come to appreciate the artistry that goes into bringing literature to life on the screen.

Actor Tom Blyth, famously known for his role in “The Hunger Games,” is joining forces with Emily Bader, who gained recognition from “My Lady Jane,” for an upcoming romantic film project.

The upcoming Netflix series “People We Meet on Vacation” is an adaptation from Emily Henry’s popular book with the same title. In this production, Jessie Blyth takes on the character of Alex, while Sebastian Bader portrays Poppy.

For over a decade, I’ve cherished an unusual bond with my best friend duo – free-spirited Poppy (Bader) and routine-bound Alex (Blyth). Despite the geographical distance between us, we manage to bridge it during our annual summer get-togethers.

Their friendship’s delicate equilibrium faces a challenge as they start doubting something that others have seen clearly all along – might they, in fact, be an ideal couple?

Enthusiasts of the book can relax with assurance, as the author, Henry, has endorsed the main performers. Initially anxious about the selection of actors, the writer now feels reassured that Bader and Blyth are capable of portraying her tale effectively.

“I’ve been kind of an anxious wreck about who would play these characters,” Henry shared.

I am absolutely certain that both my readers and countless others yet unaware of the book will be utterly enamored with Poppy and Alex.

She added: “I watched their chemistry read four times in 12 hours and I loved it more every single time. The very first time I was laughing out loud, and I got so emotional by the end.”

The film, jointly made with Sony Pictures, is under Brett Haley’s direction. As of now, we don’t have a set release date announced.
