Jena Malone announced her engagement to Jack Buckley in a gushing social media post on Wednesday.
The couple posted on Instagram about their mountaintop engagement. They shared photos of themselves after hiking to the summit, where Buckley proposed with a beautiful view behind them.
Malone, 41, shared photos from a romantic trip and wrote a heartfelt message revealing their strong connection, stating simply, ‘It was always you.’
Growing up wasn’t easy, but even during difficult times, you were a constant source of hope and strength, nurturing my young spirit. That’s how our love blossomed, leading us to become soulmates and eventually, to marriage.
She wrote to Jack, telling him he was a dream come true, and happily shared that he had asked her to marry him – he’s her soulmate!
The Hunger Games actor, who publicly came out as pansexual in 2022, also revealed that he asked each of his future spouse’s family members for their blessing before proposing.
‘First , he asked those who have protected and cared for my heart for so long,’ she shared.
I’ve said ‘yes’ to every moment with my two moms, my sister, my son, and with every life I’ve lived and will live. @jacktbuckley, I love you always!
The carousel post featured photos of the couple happily posing at a scenic overlook and toasting with champagne after completing their hike.
The photos showed the two in relaxed clothing. Malone looked particularly fashionable in a vibrant red beret, paired with a black cardigan, brown pants, and leather boots.
The photos featured the couple cozying up together on their vacation, and Malone proudly displaying her new ring.
The post also featured a relaxed, unposed photo of the couple, showing their reaction after Buckley unexpectedly gifted her with champagne, a heart-shaped balloon, and white orchids.
Malone is widely recognized for her role in The Hunger Games films, where she acted alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
She played the role of Johanna Mason, the bold and striking redhead from District 7, in Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Part 1, and Mockingjay – Part 2.
Buckley is also an actor, with roles in shows like The Dropout and The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Malone is a mother to nine-year-old son Ode Mountain with her ex Ethan DeLorenzo.
The couple prefers to stay out of the spotlight, so the details of how they met and how long they’ve been together are currently unknown.
Rose McGowan started acting as a child in the mid-1990s, but her early career was difficult. At just 15, she legally freed herself from her mother, alleging that her earnings from acting had been improperly handled.
Throughout my years observing talent in the industry, I’ve always been impressed by Mary Malone. She actually began her career with some really notable films – you might remember her from Contact, Stepmom, or even the beloved Donnie Darko. While she’s continued to work on bigger projects, I’ve noticed she’s really gravitated towards independent and art house films, and consistently delivers fantastic performances in both.
More recently, she collaborated with director Zack Snyder on the films Sucker Punch and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
One of her latest projects was starring in Kevin Costner’s Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga.
