Human Nature announce national tour to celebrate 20 years of iconic Motown album Reach Out

As a devoted fan who has witnessed Human Nature’s incredible journey over the years, I can hardly contain my excitement for their upcoming national tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Reach Out: The Motown Album! Their unique blend of timeless Motown classics and impeccable talent have always left me spellbound.

Human Nature has unveiled plans for a massive nationwide tour to commemorate the 20-year milestone of their groundbreaking album, Reach Out: The Motown Album.

The Australian four-piece band consisting of Toby Allen, Phil Burton, and the Tierney brothers (Andrew and Mike) will initiate their tour in Newcastle on March 22, followed by stops in Wollongong, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Sydney.

The tour will pay tribute to every track from the chart-topping Motown album, “Reach Out,” which includes timeless hits by renowned musicians such as Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and Stevie Wonder.

Ever since it came out in 2005, this famous album has been a key part of Human Nature’s career, selling enough copies to earn seven times Platinum certification.

Toby Allen, from the group Human Nature, expressed great excitement in a statement about bringing their show to Australian fans, saying they are brimming with enthusiasm for the event.

As a devoted admirer, there’s no denying that Motown occupies a unique and cherished corner in our emotional landscape. I can hardly wait for the 20th-anniversary tour, knowing it will be an extraordinary tribute to music, nostalgia, and the endless love from fans throughout our history.

This album, their fifth release, showcases seminal songs like Marvin Gaye’s “Heard It Through The Grapevine” and “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5, which helped define their respective genres.

It reached the top position on both the Australian ARIA Album Chart and the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but notice that this new album marks a significant shift in their style – a bold, refreshing departure from their previous identity as a pristine pop quartet. It’s like they’ve dipped their brushes into a new palette, and the music they’re creating now is nothing short of extraordinary!

Due to the remarkable success of their Australian interpretation of Motown, Human Nature followed up with two additional albums; “Dancing In The Street: Songs of Motown II” in 2006, and “Get Ready” in 2007.

In the year 2023, Phil Burton unveiled a startling portrait of life and work in Las Vegas, having resided there with his wife Justine for a decade as part of their band’s tenure.

Initially, the singer, aged 49, relocated to Las Vegas for a one-year agreement with his pop group. However, things didn’t go as planned and they ended up staying for eleven years before eventually returning home.

Contrary to its lively party image, the city in question turned out to be quite traditional or conservative, as revealed by the couple in their podcast, Separate Bathrooms.

Phil and Justine expressed their eagerness to be back in Australia, stating that Las Vegas was quite different from the general perception people might have.

The performer noted that the central area of Las Vegas, known for its nightlife, stands out noticeably from the rest of the city’s surroundings.

There are some people who live there who never go to the strip,’ his wife agreed.

The Dancing With The Stars winner went on to say: ‘Really conservative and very suburban and quiet.

From our home on the other side of the valley, we had a clear view of the casinos, yet our surroundings consisted mainly of Mormon meeting places and Jewish temples, giving off a very traditional vibe.

Justine commented: ‘There were no fallen leaves or disturbed blades of grass. Seeing someone after 9 PM raised a slight question of “What could they possibly be up to?”‘

In early 2021, Phil made it known that he had departed from the long-standing engagement at Human Nature in Las Vegas, and was moving back to Australia with his spouse and their kids, Willow and Xavier.

The well-loved singer shared that the spread of the Covid pandemic played a significant role in their decision to go back home, as they had been missing it a bit before.

2022 found me thrilled to learn that Phil decided to reunite with our beloved pop quartet for a series of festive concerts in our major cities this Christmas season.
